Got price gouged for Parent's w/e at FSU at $250 a night. Our toilet didn't work so we informed the housekeeper the next morning and told the night desk clerk again that night. Nothing was done to fix it. My husband got sick and had to visit McDonalds across the street twice at 2am and 3am until they closed. Then he spent 1 1/2 hours from 4am - 5:30am looking for a gas station with a bathroom. I asked the office clerk for a refund for our second night since they did not fulfill their promise to give us a bed and a working bathroom. All we got was a 16 percent discount on the entire stay.

This place is like a bad motel you see in the movies. It smells and the old bedspread from the 1970's is something you want to move to the corner with sterile gloves.

paid over $250 a night for a motel that is probably worth about $70 a night and today (after parent's weekend the price has dropped to that). Price gouging at it's worst and the university has to address this issue with the local merchants if they want parents to come for parent's weekend. The room was cleanish, manager nice and helpful, beds comfortable and location good. But come on how can you charge $250+ for a room like this?? I could get a 5 star hotel suite for the price it cost me for this room over parent's weekend. Price gouging at it's worst. I won't be back at this hotel or possible parent's weekend, I'd rather take my students away from TAL for the weekend and get a really nice room. FSU take note if you want parent's weekend to continue you need to work with the merchants to stop this type of price gouging

Checked in and 5 minutes later checked right out. Poorly lit, dirty, disgusting- other than that.........Only positive thing is that it is very convenient to FSU campus. They have my $100 but never a cent more from me.
