The first time we stayed at Governors Inn for orientation was ok and we liked the proximity to campus and restaurants.

This time was terrible. Our room was so contaminated with mold that my skin was burning. I saw later that another visitor posted about mold in the exact same room 4 months ago on Yelp and obviously management ignored it.

While I was at the front desk at 10 PM trying to get moved to a non mold room, another guest was there to report their A/C was out.
Next guest comes to front desk to get clean sheets. Yes, she checked into a room with dirty sheets.

Management offered to refund our valet cost and room cost at 10 PM on the Friday night of Summer move in weekend and suggested we move to a different hotel. WOW

Complete sham of a hotel. Management totally not responsive. Illegally took credit card numbers without securing rooms. Did not secure credit card information. Management personnel change or quit day to day. Rooms not nice. Renter BEWARE. Scammers

The location is a little tricky with one way streets and valet parking is your only option. It's walking distance to bars, restaurants and shops. The room was clean but the bed was really high off the ground since it was an old fashion 4 post bed. The walls are thin as I heard every guest in the hallway and the people in the room next to me. Water pressure in the shower was a little weak but you can manage. The breakfast was good and the coffee was surprisingly very good. The only other issue is they park your car in a garage that is four blocks away so when you want your car, call ahead otherwise you'll be waiting 10 minutes for your car to arrive.
