The room was a great size (we had the 2 queen bed suite), the beds were very comfortable, the price is decent and it's not right off the highway (which I really like - it's quieter not having highway noise). BUT it's not as clean as it should be!! We found 2 dead roaches on the floor in the living room area and a live roach on the shower curtain. Due to the roaches we won't stay here again.

This place has so much potential!
This place could be so nice with some changes.
First the Pro’s
1) really pretty grounds with a lake and dock
2) lobby, breakfast and bar area very nice
3) staff a little helpful
Con’s
1) not clean enough any day of a 5 day stay
2) needs updating - tired decor and furniture
3) Don’t replenish any thing in rooms nightly (5)
4) Toilet keep clogging up
5) floors never swept or mopped my whole stay
I hope they address housekeeping because this hotel could be wonderful.
The King
Beautiful spot, on a big pond with a pier, walkways and lovely outdoor areas. Quiet, peaceful location on the east edge of Tallahassee. Our suite was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The beds were so comfortable, we had the best sleep of the trip. The windows open a bit, so you can get fresh air. Nice breakfast area with water view, opens as a lounge in the evenings. Two TVs in each suite, lots of channels, no netfix. Good WiFi signal. Staff was able to check us in with no issues. Note to mgmt: the charging ports in the lamp base are worn out and don't work. Please replace or supply an adapter. I would definitely stay here again. Very close to a great restaurant LuLus la Mexican.
One night stop with our dog. Cannot say one bad thing about this hotel. Great room suites, morning breakfast and lake, pier and pet friendly areas. Staff are very accomodating. Highly recommend this place.
We stopped here randomly on the way home from a trip.. and we discovered a GREAT place-- The rooms actually are suites--plus they are clean, comfortable---the customer service was excellent they went above and beyond to be nice and accommodating.. breakfast was good and they had a dinner type thing Mon-Wed (we were there on a Wed) that was delicious and so much appreciated after driving all day...AND my dog could come with me and she loved it too-- the grounds there are gorgeous with a lake right there...Also if traveling in I-10 its super easy on/off! This will be our new stop-off place when traveling back to central Florida on longer trips.
