The hotel is so run down and disgusting. I should have known when guests of the hotel were not allowed in the lobby that something was up. You had to speak through a security window as if you were at a check cashing place in the hood. We got our room keys and the elevator was broken. No sign or anything, it just doesn’t come. Then there is a sign over the stairs that reads, “CAUTION!!! DO NOT USE STAIRWELL! IF THIS NOTICE IS REMOVED, YOUR STAY WILL NOT BE EXTENDED! Management”. So BOTH the elevator and the stairs are broken and you give us two rooms on the 4th floor? The flower pot filled with weeds by the elevator looked like someone had peed in it. It smelled like someone had peed in it. We got to our rooms, there was a carry on left in my 82 year old mother’s room and in my room there was a carry on, a handbag with a wallet in it, a bag of various candies, some half eaten, a dress hanging up and a full medicine bottle by the purse. So I go back down the rusted out stairs of death – one step was a wooden plank - and tell them. They just come the climb at your own risk stairs and remove the stuff. I asked if the room had been cleaned and he said, “Yes. You can see the bed is made up.” WTF? The one pillow was a throw pillow stuffed inside a regular size pillowcase. The bed was a full, not a queen. I sat down on the foot of the bed in the center and it sank halfway down. The sink had used soap on it along with the soap wrapper. I booked a different hotel and turned my keys in to the front desk. When I was standing at the check cashing counter, another guest came up pissed and asked for sheets without holes in them. I asked for a refund. I hadn’t even been there an hour. They said I had to call Expedia. I knew that $652 was gone. I call Expedia and they said they have to call the hotel and ask them. Of course they said no. Please make a different choice. Do NOT stay at Loyalty Inn in Tallahassee. I did not feel safe. It did not feel clean enough to even wash your hands.
