We stayed here to check out the FSU campus. The proximity to FSU is perfect. One could easily walk or drive to the campus as it's less than two miles away. Restaurants and a couple malls/shopping areas are about 10-15 minutes away by car. The capitol sights are also close. Other than that, there isn't much else here.
Now to write about the hotel itself. HORRIBLE! We had a king-suite with sofa bed for our party of three. There were no linens in the room for the sofa bed so before we left for dinner at 8pm, we asked the front desk to deliver linens to our room. When we returned to the room at 10pm, there were still no linens. We went to the front desk again to ask for linens, and they said they'd be up asap. The guy showed up with ONLY two pillows. We went down again to ask for linens and received everything except pillow cases. Seriously, were they trolling us???! Why they couldn't just give us everything the first time we asked is inexplicable, but this is just the tip of the iceberg of complaints.
Neither of the remotes to the two TVs in our room worked. We killed a cockroach in the room. The fridge was pulled out of its niche and just sticking out encROACHing into the small seating area. The floors were incredibly dirty such that the condensation in the bathroom created dirty footprints. The toilet didn't flush well nor did it have a lid over the seat. The walls are paper-thin, and we could hear our neighbors fighting; they weren't even yelling, but their loud, heated conversation was easily audible at 1:00am.
