This hotel has become my go to when staying in Tallahassee for a couple of reasons. I’ve stayed here close to 20 nights and have never had an unpleasant experience so it is consistent. Staff are always pleasant. Gym is fantastic. Breakfast area and quality is above average for a Hampton. Plenty of options nearby for dinner as well.

Tornado's detoured our stay.
Driving into Tallahassee from Atlanta, noticed signals out and trees down. We inched our way to the Hampton Tallahassee Capital-University to find out they had no power. Front desk employees were so helpful, they called around to see what hotels might have power & they found the Hampton Inn Quincy had power & a few rooms. Very grateful to the staff for helping us find a new hotel. May 10-13 2024.

Very clean and well organized. Rooms are spacious. Hotel has laundry machines and a very nice gym. Breakfast is good and offered from 7-10am. Large parking lot-self-service at $15 a day. Staff is nice and helpful. You’d enjoy staying here.

Yes, this hotel is clean, it’s in a great location to CollegeTown and both campuses but it’s parking lot is not safe. As a woman, I can’t stay there again until they increase security.
I arrived in the early morning hours on a Thursday with my niece. At the front entrance , I was met by a homeless man asking to clean my windshield. He was hanging out by the pool. Very nice gentleman but … I was still scared.
I enter the portico, it’s locked unless you have a room key. As I approach, another homeless couple join me to say they need to use the restroom. No sign of a Hilton employee. They pick up the “after hours” phone and call for admittance. I’m waiting in there with my niece locked into the car while I check in. Front desk gentleman finally appears behind front desk and let’s us in. I ask if they have security and explain what happened, he says no. Shared I was pretty scared. He checks me in and goes to the back office. Now I have to park my car in the lot and walk in by myself, I don’t consider that good service. That’s “I don’t care” service. He could have walked out to the front door and gave me the security to know someone was watching out for my safety while I park my car. Nope just headed to the back office. Unacceptable. I’m Hilton Honors and have stayed here before but not again.
Until there is more concern for guests safety, I’ll stay at one of the other many hotels in Tallahassee.

We are very sorry to hear of the experience you had upon check-in at our property. We have typically only provided security on the weekends, but after learning of your experience we may have to look into providing security throughout the week as well. Especially during the colder parts of the year when the homelessness issue can become a problem. While we've never had any issues with the homeless problem downtown, it still doesn't negate that it can make people feel unsafe when arriving late at night. We have been actively working with the city (as well as many other businesses in downtown) to try to get help with combatting this problem. As for the quality of service our overnight agent provided, I will make sure to address these issues with them. We strive to always provide the best service for our guests, so we will make sure to resolve this with them. Once again, we apologize for the negative experience you had upon check-in and we hope that we can still get a chance to better serve you in the future.

My family enjoyed our one night at this hotel. The staff was courteous and welcoming. We were on a college tour so we were primarily looking for a clean place to stay. The room and bathroom were extremely clean. There were plenty of fresh towels available. The shower had plenty of conditioner, shampoo, and shower gel. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast that included eggs, waffles, bagels, yogurt, and etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
