Review of Aloft Tallahassee Downtown

Upon arrival this place looks nice. I was excited to stay in a modern hotel. I went to the front desk. The first question I was asked, was if I had a reservation. Well, hello to you too. The young women there looked peaved, that we interrupted whatever there were doing prior. They kept lookin at each other, as to whome would help us.
Once they found out that there was not a reservation, one woman quickly said that we had to reserve online, not in the hotel for a room. We asked if we can see a room before reserving any. The one woman continued to ignore us, while the other rolled her eyes. She asked the other if they could do that and was bewildered to how. In the meantime, I was looking around. I looked at the ceiling fixture and realized there were dead roaches there. Not just a few, but several. Just roaches, not other bugs. You would think they would clean up there, considering how decorated it was.
So we finally went to see a room availble. She tried starting a conversation, by then we were all a bit awkward. We looked at the room. It was clean and nothing wrong. As we were looking at the room, the young lady was looking at us as if we passed gas. Just pure disgust in her face. She then looked at my frizzy hair from the humidity, and gave me a nasty look. I do not know what the issue was. I asked if anyone passed gas or something, but no.. This is their customer service. So pass.

My wife and I stopped in on our way to the east coast. We arrived at ~10pm and were greeted by Jaii. Even though it was late, she was very polite and welcoming. Vivian came over to assist with filling out the pet form so we could get to our room as quick as possible. My wife and I plan to stay there again on our way back west in a few days because of the great customer service we received.

Brandon and Vivian were so welcoming at the front desk. They welcomed us and our dogs upon arrival, and continued to always say hello every time we came downstairs or came back from being out. Brandon went above and beyond answering all of our questions and being so kind to our dogs. Vivian was amazing as she also answered our questions and was very helpful, she also gave our dogs a treat bag which was so sweet!
I met Angie from housekeeping in the hallway and she was kind enough to take the time to answer a random question I had. She then said hello to our dogs and was very nice to them. I saw her again in the hallway later that day and she even remembered us! Our rooms were spotless, cleanest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. I can tell that Angie works very hard - and I really appreciate that.
This hotel stay was perfect because of how great Brandon, Angie, and Vivian were to us and our dogs! Truly a unique experience staying at a place so welcoming to dogs and so clean. This was an awesome trip and we will definitely be back here. I can’t wait for our next stay!
Huge thank you to Angie, Vivian, and Brandon for all of their hard work. They truly care about the guests here and take the time to make connections with individuals. I appreciate them for making our trip extra great! Thank you!

Brandon welcomed us and our two dogs in when we arrived. He took the time to pet them and talk to us every time we came down. He is truly a wonderful person who goes above and beyond for customers. Brandon answered all of my questions and always went an extra mile to help me if needed. I appreciate how welcoming he is, it felt like I had a new best friend! I look forward to coming back here and staying again because of how awesome he was to us and our dogs. It’s rare to find a hotel that welcomes dogs and is perfectly clean. The entire vibe of this hotel is great. We will be back up here for work often, and this will be the only place we stay from now on! A huge thank you to Brandon for all that he did for us during our stay. His work ethic, compassion, and helpfulness absolutely made our stay! Looking forward to coming back soon!

We love Aloft. The Tally Aloft is located so that you can walk to great restaurants ( Savior our favorite) and to the Tucker Civic Center. The best part is our dog stayed free! They had a beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescue in the lobby that they try to help get adopted. (We were tempted to take him home. Our room was nice and staff was accommodating - thank you!
