Check-in and staff was great, but there were several "odd" characters in and out of the hotel (walking around and just standing around). I was not sure they were loitering or actual guests. The door keys did not work. The 3rd floor smelled like cigarette smoke all throughout the hallway and the 4th floor smelled like marijuana. Could not keep the grandkids there. That staff made it a 2 start for me. Did not feel safe at all.

I have lived here at Extended Stay Hotel since August 20th 2021 and am still a resident here.
I lost my original home due to having to evacuate.
Moving here at ESA as a temporary home has always been a good place as a transition to eventually finding my new permanent home.
Bryan Davis the General Manager from day one, has been highly attentive to our needs.
Bryan is a professional manager, very attentive, compassionate, and as well my son and I are taken care of as if we are family.
Kathy Grissett is as well a professional front desk, and customer care representative.
Rob is as well professional and also works in maintenance and great customer care representative.and he works the front desk.
Reggie works front desk and is professional with great customer care representative.
The housekeepers. Bonnie and Miranda and Amanda are very efficient to make sure that rooms are fully clean, and if I need anything, it is always addressed within a short period of time.
I feel like I am at home staying here at ESA and when I do have to move to a permanent home, I will keep in touch with my extended family here.
The location to Extended Stay East is very convenient to everything in Tallahassee.
There is a convenient laundry room, and vending machines.
In every room we have a full sized refrigerator, and cooking range, cupboards and sink to wash dishes.
Walmart is directly across the street and shopping center as well and close enough to walk to.
I am very pleased with my year and half living here and recommend staying here whether it's just a weekend stay or long term living. Thank you to the team here that works very hard to keep the customer residents happy. This hotel is pet friendly as well for a minimal charge.

My family stayed there about two weeks after our house burned down. My insurance paid for the stay. Two weeks after checking out, Woodspring charged my credit card about $450 with no explanation. I’ve been trying to find out why for a few months but the manager has not been able to explain, and has not issued a refund. The 800 number is worthless. I’ll update this review if I get the refund.

Stayed for here for a couple of months. Trash in the stairwell. Roaches in room. Rude employees. Employees would brag about how many people they kicked out. Also, tell homeless people that there was a 3 night minimum and called them undesirables. Maintenance is a joke. Anywhere else is better than this place.

I stayed at this hotel for almost 3 months. During that three months housekeeping never entered my room. They stated that Covid was the reason for not cleaning rooms. This would be understandable if they wore masks, observed social distancing, etc. This was not the case, no masks, no social distancing, smoking outside with guests, speaking mask less with guests, etc. If they could do all this they can clean rooms.
Other examples of poor service - asked housekeeper cleaning empty room two doors down from my room if I could use her broom to sweep out my room she stated that I could not and to go down to the lobby and borrow one. Reported that the fan in the bathroom was broken, took over a month to fix and when I returned to room the door was left ajar.
When I arrived the luggage cart has a flat tire and they did not remove it from service for at least a month. People were still trying to use it and the folks at the desk never let them know the status as they struggled to get their stuff into the building.
The stairwells smell like wet dog.
The windows slide open about 2" so if you want some fresh air it's not going to happen.
The walls are paper thin, I was able to hear the person next door cough and knew when he was in the room.
The only redeeming feature is that it is relatively inexpensive for long term stays which is why I stayed as long as I did.
