I really hope that the person who will respond to this will REALLY read this. I know how customer service works. I know you're sorry about my experience. Just FIX these issues!
After coming to this hotel and seeing the problems, I looked up the reviews so that I can add one myself. I seen that smoke and bugs were an issue. In my case, smoke was not the issue, no smells of smoke.
I am going to place to place trying to find a nice, clean place for my disabled husband and my 3 year old son. I've been driving for hours trying to find a hotel that has rooms available, (everyone is full due to the FSU/MIAMI game) and that also accepts TSA through FEMA.
I lost my house during hurricane Irma and now that I am displaced, I lost my job as well. I was so excited when I found out that this place had one more room available for me to check in to! Has a full size fridge, 2 burners, little cabinet space and a microwave. It was available for the amount of time I needed and it seemed perfect.
I tried to turn on the lights, and there is a "trick" you have to do to turn them on. I have to have the kitchen light on, to have the light over the desk on. If that is the case, I might as well just use the kitchen one.. why have one over the desk?
When I was unpacking my things into the dresser (very small, looks like a night stand), there were a few roaches that were crawling around. I decided not to add my things in there, I don't want them to come with me when I leave.
After killing them, I looked above the desk where they have a pin board hanging, and more baby roaches. Killed them. Went to the bathroom, more baby roaches. Killed them. Went to put my food in the cabinets, killed some more roaches and found some dead ones as well. Looked around the cabinets and there was evidence of roach everywhere (little collective specs of dirt).
When I took the floor towel off of the edge of the tub to put it on the floor, it was wet. Didn't smell, maybe just didn't dry all the way (I hope I'm not using someone else's). This was the same with the hanging towels. There were little hairs on the toilet, you can tell it wasn't cleaned.
I laid on the bed with my son, sheets have little cigarette holes. Not so much a big deal but not really something one wants to see in a non-smoking room.
As the minutes go by, I'm finding more spots that are dirty, and finding more roaches.
Please, please, please, fix these issues. Can you tell me that you would stay here? So so so disappointed. I told the staff about what I was finding, and there was no shock to her voice.. like she KNEW there was going to be some. The phone crackled bad so I could barley hear what she was saying, had to hold in the cord to the phone. "There are no rooms available, and someone wont be able to come up till tomorrow. (This was 3 in the afternoon)
I will be finding a new place tomorrow.
The staff here need to know that if they wouldn't stay in a place like this, they shouldn't expect others to. They need to take pride in the work that they do, and you can tell they could care less.
I really appreciate your time. Thank you.
