A Family restaurant in Martin County it has proven itself for over thirty years. Taking the R.J. Gators spot that is on the corner of Federal Highway and Indian Street, it is now more compact, but as good as ever. I had a chance to revisit Flamingo while my car was having some work done.

I first noticed that members of the Martin County Sheriff Department eat here. That is good point. I support all law officers and I know they don’t just eat ‘anything.’ It must be good!

I was not disappointed. My eggs over easy came out perfect; kudos to the chef. The Rye toast, grits and sausage patties came out superbly.

My waitress, nicknamed “Sunshine,” is just delightful. It was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. I plan on coming back.

I went to the Flamingo Diner on a whim. There are four eateries in the same plaza. I had a hamburger, fries and coleslaw. The hamburger was the best one I have had in the local area. The fries were crispy the way I like and the coleslaw was good. The service was excellent and the staff really friendly. The prices are good. I will definitely be visiting again.

We went for breakfast this past Sunday. We hadn't been here in a while. Firstly, the tables were jammed together so it was difficult to get to our table near the window. Too many tables or maybe just situated improperly. Very crowded. Then my arms got all sticky from the table which was just cleaned. I watched it being cleaned, but obviously, not a good job. My husband's home fries were almost like mashed potatoes. Very, very soft. My pancakes, although tasty, were rather small and thin. Compared to other breakfast places in the area, they were disappointing. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps just an off day. But still, too many tables.

If you're looking for good home cooking at a VERY reasonable price...go here. The servers are all beyond excellent, the food is fantastic. You can eat inside or outside. Not good scenery but everything makes up for that.
Hint...their cheesecake is to die for. .ask for blueberries on top, it is OUT OF THIS WORLD and the slices are huge. My mother-in-law and I had their cheesecake only for lunch one day and left happy....and absolutely stuffed. :-) :-)
FYI, it's located next to the big gas station on the corner of Federal Hwy ( U S.1 ) and Indian St.
IF YOU HAVEN'T WARREN THERE, YOU MUST GO !!!!!
The burgers are great and huge, I got the scrod tonight and it was delicious , they have great coleslaw, salads & mashed potatoes too (great gravy too). Their liver and onions are SUPER! !!!!!

There are so many restaurant choices in Stuart, it's hard to know what to pick. We happened on to the Flamingo Diner, because Diners are usually known for variety if nothing else and I was with my sister and she is a picky eater! The menu didn't disappoint! Large variety from seafood, italian, burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches to complete dinners like, Turkey with stuffing, gravy, mashed potato and cranberry sauce. Service was outstanding. Very at home feel and great homemade food.
