Review of St. George Street

St. George Street
Ranked #26 of 201 things to do in St. Augustine
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 3 May 2018

You could spend hours walking through here. That is because of all the stores and resturants packed into the area. There is something for everyone. Many different stores and specialty shops along the street. There is an abundance of restaurants so you could stay there a week and never have to eat in the same place twice. Very nice.

St. George Street is full of fun from Magic Shops to Candy Shops to Wine & Tapas bars and even more restaurants than you can imagine. There are specialty shops everywhere. Recommend early morning walk down St. George Street before the crowds set in...shops open after 10:00 AM and lots are open later. A must see.

The street has lots of charm and beauty. Lots of shops to browse through and just take a stroll through history.

This Steet makes Disney look like a black tie resort. The street is filled with tacky tourist outlets and loud "visitors." But for the fact we wanted to visit one of america's earliest walled cities we never would have gone and mist certainly will never be back. Too many better places in this country to visit.

We took the Trolley Tour, and walked the entire length of the pedestrian area of St. George Street. So many nice shops, bars, and restaurants. I wish more cities would have pedestrian areas.
