Recommended length of visit: 1-2 hours
Owner description: The St. Augustine Wild Reserve offers tours on an appointment-only basis. Tours are held in the afternoon, on Mon, Wed, and Sat at 2pm. Email to make reservations. Children under 5 are free. Guests will be given a guided tour of the compound by an experienced wildlife professional. An introduction to each species, basic biology, and how the species arrived at our sanctuary will be discussed in detail. Visitors will be allowed a close-up view of the exotic animals, and will be able to venture closer to adult African lions and tigers than they ever imagined. Guests will meet our amazing white tigers, orange tigers, a very rare golden tabby tiger, cougars, servals, lynxes, leopards, hyenas, coati mundis, and a host of wolves ranging in color from black to white. We feed all of the big cats on the tours, and set up a tiger bubblebath for at least one tiger. We do not allow photography, however, we do offer a fabulous photo CD for a small donation.

The place was amazing. You get to come very close to the animals, and all of the volunteers at the reserve really care for the animals and tell you all about the different animal's background and personality. Very educational as well and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the St. Augustine area. Make sure you have some water especially during the hotter months.

We had so much fun! We went with my 8 yr old son and 15 yr old daughter, this was the one attraction my whole family loved. We learned so much and got to meet so many beautiful animals that you will not see anywhere else. Also it was awesome to see how well care for these happy "retired" animals. Thank you ms. Debbie for allowing us to visit your home. This is a must see, plus it helps for the care of these wonderous creatures.

WONDERFUL! Loved! Loved! Loved! it. It was really awesome being able to get so close to such beautiful animals. We learned an awful lot of specifics about each species that we never knew. How very sad some of the stories as to how these animals came to be at the reserve. How wonderful to know that there are people who care so much to take them when no one else will. Everyone was so pleasant & inviting. The cages were kept very clean and each of the animals appeared to be well kept.

We had a fabulous time visiting the reserve, and getting up close to see the big cats, wolves, and more. A great education for all ages, especially to learn about their continuing decline in the world. The place is well-maintained and the animals well cared for.

A great guided tour filled with big beautiful animals. A fun and informative time. The staff was very accommodating, knowledgeable and truly loves the animals. We saw amazing examples of power, nurturing, playfulness and beauty. Really enjoyed the back stories of all the animals as well as the species info. Keep saving these wonderful creatures!
