We rented Mr Patera's home for the month of March 2016. The first day or so we were there I spent cleaning as Mr. Patera did not have the place cleaned between renters only an inspection was done. Not exactly what i planned on my first day of vacation. Had to purchase sheets and towels as I didn't know if an inspection could tell if the sheets were washed. Large patio door to the pool was broken which we advised. He said that there was suppose to be a note on it not to use, however there was not. Place needed a lot of work. Garage converted to a bedroom had no air circulation. There were several other problems.
We however love Port Charlotte. Have been there for other vacations. Went to the Edison museum. A must do if in the area. Beaches are about an hour drive away. Loved collecting sharks teeth. Big flea market in Fort Myers.
Convenient location to Restaurants, shopping centers. beach and other local attractions. The floors, bathrooms and beds were clean on arrival. Kitchen and décor is very dated. Pool was clean and pool area was a very nice place to hang out and enjoy the warm weather. Nice neighborhood also. We enjoyed our stay.
Nice Port Charlotte home in residential area. Close to shopping, restaurants and golf courses. Mike, the owner, called the day we checked in to make sure everything was ok and was easily accessible for the remainder of our stay. The pool was very nice and well kept. In a nutshell, everything was expected and we would definitely stay there again.
Rented home for heated pool, pool was full of plastic particles from old pool cover.Home was old and they tried to make it seem better but was not.Never rent something until you see property first.Very disappointed.
