My wife and I came here for lunch 04/24 after driving over from Fort Myers to meet up with family. Finding a restaurant, on the beach with decent reviews, in Pompano/North Ft. Lauderdale was more difficult than we thought it would be but Ocean Grill seemed to be our best alternative.
A few signs from the hotel lobby to the Grill's seating area would have been helpful as the inside dining room was closed and there was no one around to ask.
Once seated it took a little while before our server Deborah was able to make it to our table (The server at the next table gave no indication that she'd seen us, she had, or that anyone would be over shortly. It would have been nice if she'd made the effort.) but once Deborah arrived she was extremely friendly, helpful and very attentive. Tables are literally right on the beach so a short wait can hardly be qualified as a hardship. A potent tropical drink and an ice cold beer came fairly quickly as did the food once we got around to placing our order. Portions were reasonable and my wife's Prosciutto flatbread was delicious and had a very generous topping of lean prosciutto. My Club Croissant had plenty of turkey, ham and crispy bacon and, with a side dish, was a fairly large and very tasty meal.
Hopefully we'll make it back to Ocean Grill next spring and if we do we'll be sure to ask for Deborah.
