We are snowbirds and have stayed in this unit for several years. The owner has been making updates on furniture and appliances, which are very nice and appreciated. There are more updates that should be made over the next several years. There seemed to be more major maintenance improvements made this winter which often were bothersome. The management could have done a better job of informing residents of schedules to minimize inconveniences. We have found the winter residents to be very friendly and social, which makes staying here very enjoyable. The staff is helpful and friendly, knowing our names shortly after we arrive and fulfilling our needs. We would recommend staying at Palacio and in unit 1802 whenever we are not here. The views of the Gulf from the balcony are amazing!
The Palacio was tucked away between two other buildings and was easy to miss. Once we found it, we had to check in after hours, which was pretty smooth. The condo itself was GREAT; excellent views and beautifully decorated. The patio furniture was a bit worn out however. All went well until Saturday morning when construction began in the pool area below. This continued throughout the day. Since we were only there Friday - Sunday, it was a bit irritating that management did not notify me that they would be renovating during my stay. Had that not been the case, I would have given this room 5 stars. Thank goodness we were on the 18th floor, otherwise the noise would have ruined our trip.
