The night clerk was very helpful, although a little too happy about everything but I totally preferred his over exuberance to the day clerk's demeanor. The morning clerk I checked out with seemed to not care about anything. I reported a serious problem to him which caused me and my 6 year old injury to our person and he just looked at me and stuttered his way into a "well we're still new". This had NOTHING to do with being new or old. I had places to go so I didn't pursue furthering the contact as it was clear this clerk didn't care anyways.
The injury was caused by the bed frame structures which is NOT safe for any person really. The bed headboard has a curved outline attached to the wall. I would hope this could change the frame under the mattress so it could be the same. The two pieces put together to create the corners to each sides of these beds were NOT inline perfectly. Due to this, the misalignment created sharp corners that instantly caused me and my son to cut into our skin which drew blood. Mine was far worse than my son's thankfully but it really needs addressed. I loved the look to the room (#305) and the bunkbeds were awesome for my older kids. Mattresses were super comfortable and the nooks for charging and holding things on the wall of bunkbeds was great. My 8 yr old hated the ladder (but it was only because of the non-slip grip on the narrow bars the bare feet touched.) My 18 yr old had no complaints of taking upper bunk. Only problem was my 6 yr old wanting bottom bunk but 8 yr old already took it. He sadly had to deal with the entire big bed all by himself. Poor kid, huh?
Also, another complaint is the size of that fridge. I'm sorry but you CANT put much of anything period in that thing. It's COMPLETELY incompatible with the room (sleeps 6) and you can't even put bottled water in there let alone a standard takeout box. Please, TRYP, rethink that feature and put in at LEAST a full size mini fridge. As a mom of 4 boys (only had 3 with me this go round), even with a single night stay, I NEED a fridge I can use.
Those were the drawbacks to my stay there. The cost was more than I wanted to pay but due to the bunkbeds and being a "new" location, I couldn't help but try it out. I was very disappointed with the outcome regarding the injury and communication with morning clerk but hey... I was 5 minutes from Seaworld which was our next stop before heading to Jacksonville. We checked in late hours without an issue.
