Excellent stay wonderful hosts

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 18 Jun 2018via mobile
I had the the opportunity to stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast for two nights. The hosts were wonderful. The house while built in 1890 was amazingly well kept with modern appliances and facilities. Breakfast was wonderfully prepared and delicious. Highly recommend that you stay at this wonderful facility if you ha e the opportunity to go through Monticello, FL.

We spent one night in Monticello as we traveled through this part of Florida. The home is beautiful outside and nicely decorated inside. The hosts were very kind, accommodating and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and had a nice, modern bathroom with all the amenities that we might need. Breakfast was delicious and conversation with the hosts was very interesting. I would happily stay there again.

Great little place with an amazing courtyard and the owners are fabulous! Stayed two nights for a friends wedding/ reception. Area is gorgeous and the owners are so nice and helpful!
Breakfast was amazing and a bit fancier than we are used to! Great area to walk and explore as well. We were there when all of US 290 was having its annual yard sales so that was cool!
Room was cozy and we were the only couple there so we were able to keep the temp down which was awesome for me!! One tiny issue with the TV but it was corrected very quickly, which made my date happy lol.
Great stay!!

Room tip: The cottage, which they rent as well, is a historical building so make sure you ask!!

What a surprise. From the monment I called Gretchen to our check out with Troy, just one word....Awesome!
We stayed in the Cottage, which had full kitchen & a huge bathroom to include another bath & half.
This B&B is located in Monticello, FL, a very quaint town near Tallassee, FL. Lots to see & do.
The breakfast was hearty, but healthy. Gretchen & Troy were friendly & a wealth of knowledge,

We just made our reservations for FSU football season - our third year of staying with Troy and Gretchen on football weekends. Besides lovely accommodations, we feel so welcomed each time we are there. Gretchen treats me like a friend - inviting me to come along on errands or shopping trips, joining her for a glass of wine. It is a short walk to downtown Monticello, an old-time, southern Main Street with quaint shops and restaurants.

We've stayed in the garden room and the cabin in the back. It is very relaxing to sit on the porch or in the garden - reading or just doing nothing.

Gretchen and Troy were the best host's one could possibly ask for.We had a real treat being able to book the cottage which to say the least was fantastic. The decor was over the top, the grounds are terrific with outdoor furniture,patios,hammocks,etc..Breakfast was also a special treat with and egg dish, fresh fruit's and great coffee. We shall remember our stay for many years to come and look forward to a return trip soon.

Room tip: The Cottage is the place to stay for sure
