The service from Paula in the restaurant and Yazdi (security) who assisted with my concerns in a timely and effective manner were stellar.
Based on this experience alone I will rebook another time.
The team here generally impressed me with the safety and security to access my room. I’m very appreciative.

This was not a pleasant Marriott experience. First we checked in around 4:30 PM and was told by the front desk we have a $35 resort credit that had to be used that day or we'd lose it. We asked if we could use it at the pool bar and they said yes. We also were told we only would have a $10 food and beverage credit for myself but not for my guest in my room. Every Marriott has given the room 2 food and beverage credits. Once we went to our room, it was a great view but the shower was very dirty. Dirt all on the bottom of it and has not been clean. We go straight to the pool and turns out the pool bar is being renovated however they have a ice bucket with liquor bottles set up. Which is great, except no one was there ... We wait and then see someone from a distance signal with his hand they aren't closed. When we asked he said they stopped serving drinks outside. So we had to order drinks to be delivered which for 2 beverages was the entire $35 credit and was only premade drinks in a can or glass. Next we are told from the manager we need to leave the pool soon as it's closing. We were told there's a concert happening next to the pool, we asked if we could attend and it's a ticketed event only. So now we have a drink we have to finish quickly because the pool is closing. We just flew from Portland, OR for 13 hours between two flights and can't even sit by a pool and have a drink. Sooo annoying as this was the main reason we stayed at this hotel because the pool looked nice online. Then we go to dinner and to sleep, the next morning I asked for a late checkout at 2:30. The house keeping knocked on our door 3 times after we told them we had late check out to try and tell us they didn't have us down for late check out. We were trying to sleep but couldn't because house keeping kept waking us up. It was very frustrating, and the M Club was an absolute joke. All the snacks are locked up, they do not do evening snacks like the sign says. And breakfast being done at 9:30 AM on a Sunday is absolutely insane. We only got a coffee from the machine because there was no breakfast available at 10 am when we went down. I am so upset I chose to spend my money staying here only for this experience to have me rethinking staying with Marriott as a Platinum Member.

On the positive The view of the bay is terrific and it is a fast walk to the Arsht arts and entertainment center. However they cannot manage high volume The wait in the restaurant was over 35 minutes although the food is exceptional The guest services is terrible. I had a technical issue with the airconditioner I had to cal over and over again to get somwone to fix the problem They said soon soon and it turns out they never asked. Housekeeping needs to be begged to fix the room and it is never fixed properly, They need t do something about their services team They yes you and yes you but do nothing

Room tip: balcony rooms are great but alot of noise from across the way

I recently stayed at this hotel while in Miami for business. The hotel and rooms were clean and updated. Housekeeping actually serviced my room each day, which appears to be harder to find since COVID. The only downside, which is minor, is the hotel is not quite in downtown Miami. Downtown Miami is a very short Uber ride.

Overhead, I was happy with the hotel and would recommend it.

Titanium elite, I redeemed a suite night award and was told I would receive my room by the latest 4 o'clock. When I checked in I was told my room was clean and needed approval by housekeeping. This took more than an hour and only got my room at 5 PM. The hotel ambassador was honestly quite rude about the situation and did not approach the situation too well. I never received an apology about the situation. The ambassador frequently used her title to make arguments that had no merit. I never once argued and felt like I was on the receiving end of a customer complaint.

The manager the next day approached me to apologised about the situation, this was the first time I received an apology about the incident. The manager was quite amazing and I never had the time to mention to the manager about the incident regarding the ambassador. I was told I would receive points regarding the situation but never did.

I finished my trip in the Mclub lounge. The lounge is very nice and has great selection of food and drinks. The lounge attendant in the evening was extremely rude. My guest and I made sure to keep our area clean and stack our plates. The lounge attendant never smiled or acknowledged our questions regarding the food service times. We were completely ignored. Overall beautiful hotel but In Miami you can find a hotel that is beautiful with good customer service.

We loved our stay before and after our cruise out of Miami! This was our first time visiting Miami and we had so much fun! The pool was perfect for cooling down on the hot days. The view from our balcony was amazing. We loved watching the boats on the bay. It is a short walk to the free Metromover which took us to Bayside Marketplace for dinner and an excursion. We would highly recommend this property and we will be staying here on our next visit!
