The hotel was nice but we arrived after midnight and were told there was a $35 resort fee but we would get $35 credit for food/drinks but that it wasn't good on the day of checkout which was technically the same day. Nothing was open when we arrived of course and the credit wasn't good at all since we were just there for under 12 hours then took a cruise.

Room tip: Make sure you arrive before all the restaurants/bars close so you can use the credit given for the resort fee which isn't optional.

The good:
Amazing view from the balcony at the cruise ships port and at the downtown, especially in the night. This of course depends on where your room is facing.

The bad:
1. Very bad water pressure in the shower.
2, Wi-Fi is not free, contrary to what is now considered customary at hotels, and when we tried to pay for Wi-Fi, the online payment system was rejecting our Wi-Fi registration requests, so, had to manage without any Wi-Fi.
3. The room was reserved for 4, but towerls, cups, etc. were supplied only for 2.

Since the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay is the only hotel in this area with balconies, we find our guests love this feature, and we are happy this was the highlight of your stay. That said, we regret the inconvenience regarding the WiFi service and apologize for any confusion about our internet fee. Complimentary internet access is a benefit we extend to our valued Elite members when they book directly with Marriott. We will share your comments appropriately. I was booked into this hotel for 2 nights preceding a cruise out of Miami with my wife. My flight arrived quite early into MIA so I called the day before to request an early check-in; when I got there (before 10 AM) my room was ready. This was amazing.
Room was spacious with a small balcony overlooking the pool (which is still under construction/renovation) and a partial view out to the bay. Mostly the view was to the building next door.
Staff is friendly and helpful, although sometimes the lines at the front desk got long. It seems as if nearly everyone staying here is either pre- or post-Cruise, or airline personnel. This explains the rush at the front desk at certain times.
The location is a mixed bag. There is not a whole lot right around the hotel; South Beach and Brickell District are not walkable. It is a very short ride to the Port of Miami, though, and there is a mini-mall connected to the hotel with restaurants, shops, a mini-grocery, etc. It is possible to walk along the bay or to walk across the Venetian Islands as we did.
I would stay here again. Once the pool is open again it will be even better; right now, guests have access to the pool at the hotel next door.

Room tip: Check out the mini-mall next door for better prices than the lobby shop.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was incredibly nice and thoughtful. In particular, Yazdi with security was very kind and helpful during my stay. It also helps that a barber shop is connected to the hotel as well.

Enjoyed my stay while doing business in Miami. I am an Ambassador Elite Bonvoy member which means I spend over 100 nights per year away from home. I never write reviews.
