My wife booked this resort for her retirement celebration. This resort on the surface was as it appeared in the RCI Listing. We checked in and was charged a extra fee of $32.00 a day (which we were told about in the listing) for what we were told was the amenities; the pool, tennis courts, the grounds, the marina, the continiental breakfast (that was nothing more than the breakfast you get at the holiday inn, red roof inn, etc, motel's). We checked into our room, though not what we have grown accustomed to for the over 30 years of RCI membership, it was adequate . The room only had what I would define as a small refrigerator much like a college dormatory room, and a (hidden) microwave oven that we found on our last night of tenancy. We went to the breakfast one morning and discovered what it truly was and never planned to return. About the 3rd night there a rather exciting storm blew up and we got a heavy rainfall and lightning, which I expect when we go to the beach. The next morning we got into our car to go and get breakfast, only to learn that the road leading into the resort was impassible. We returned to the resort and went to the breakfast area to learn that there was no breakfast that morning due to the impassible roadway. When asked about a partial refund of the extra fees we were told that the fee's are non-negotiable even though all we were physically able to use before or after being stranded was the breakfast which didn't exist on the day we needed it. Fortunately I had fixed us a sandwich a day or two earlier where we had stayed on Marco Island to be used on a picnic that we had not eaten. This were our meals until the next day when we were forced to drive thru the salt water to get out and get another meal. Some of the "extra fee's" being charged should be used to repair the structure deficiencies that I observed on the grounds. I observed what I first thought were plumbing pipes coming from the overhead concrete floor down to the ground. Closer examination revealed that what I was seeing were post jacks supporting the first floor under which tenants park their cars. This slab of concrete had numerous places where the rebar imbedded in the concrete floor overhead was explosed.
