First time fishing offshore with adult daughter for a bucket list item check off. Chris responded to my request for 1/2 day trip soon after message posted on his website. He is an amazing captain, "5 stars" all the way. He listens to your wants and is extremely personable. He had us catching mahi within 20 minutes from leaving dock and worked 4 active rods unloading and baiting back up for us at an amazing pace. Chris understands who the customer is and focuses his entire effort to make your adventure the fishing trip of a lifetime. His charter is clean and well equipped. Call Chris when you need a charter in Key West. You will not regret it!

Thanks for the review. Im glad I could put you guys on the fish. Seeing that Blue Marlin jump and then hooking one and having it on for a few minutes was the high light of the trip! Next time we will get a true release on one.

If you only do one thing on your visit to Key West, go fishing with Captain Chris. We had an amazing and very full day. Highlights: great fishing action; knowledgeable, professional captain; clean, well-appointed fishing boat; convenient & accommodating. Captain Chris is a knowledgeable and seasoned fisherman who knows where to find the fish. He'll incorporate your preferences into your itenerary, adding his expertise to make sure you get smack into the middle of great fishing. He's flexible too. We took our kids (10 & 12) with us and without compromising the fishing, Captain Chris incorporated plunges into the water to cool off, reef snorkeling and somehow juggled multiple rods, hook-ups and catches without ever losing his cool. If your even thinking about a fishing charter, stop thinking and call Chris!

Its always a pleasure taking out such nice people like you and your family. Your two kids were great, from the start of the trip standing on the front of the boat admiring there surroundings, till the end wanting to snorkel until the sun went down. They remind me of how I was as a kid. Im glad we had a good day of fishing too. Too bad the sharks were eating the snapper but at least you guys got to see those beasts! Cant wait to fish with you guys again!

Fished with Chris for 3 days with a large group, a couple were fishing for their first time,. Chris put in extra effort to make sure everyone reeled in a ton of fish! Everyone had a great experience, they all want to go back. By far the highlight of the trip. Went home with all sorts of fish, we caught over a dozen species. I go down to key west often and every time we fish with Chris, he has a beautiful boat, is extremely knowledgable and works his butt off, and is very professional. He loves what he does and it shows. Couldn't have more positive to say about the trip, I'll end with this.. if your looking to fish in Key West, you need to book with Chris from Far Out Charters. There is really no other way to go..See ya next time !

We went out with chris our first day in Key West and had so much fun ( and caught so many fish), that we booked the next day as well. Great times, tons of fish, a must if your looking to fish in Key West. Will definitely be back.

If you're looking for an experience in the Keys, Captain Chris will guide you on a day of adventure and laughs. We set out on his boat and made stops in places that were loaded with fish. Everyone caught something... so much variety and it was all delicious when we feasted on it later that day!
We also snorkeled in pretty reef areas and stopped for "happy hour" (cold beer and chit chat) on a beautiful sandbar. Chris really knows what he's doing - he drives the boat like a pro, stops in great fishing spots, and he's full of hilarious stories! The day was one I'll never forget, and I'll definitely do this again next time I'm in Key West. Highly recommended.
