Room had updating issues, mold in bathroom faucets, molding at door was in need of repairs, beds very uncomfortable. Food for dinner was not good at all. Requested ocean front did not get. The price for the value was not good at all. Checked out after one night. Not Hilton standard.

Our family w/kids stayed on the 4th floor (ocean view, deluxe suite) mid-April.
We wanted a beachfront hotel w/pool & breakfast (somewhere between W.Palm Beach & Ft. Lauderdale) that allowed all of us to freely & safely move between the hotel & beach -- where we didn't have to walk blocks or cross busy roads to get to the beach. There aren't a lot of choices, and we love Embassy Suites, so we went with this hotel. Overall, it was an OK experience. The very dated room we had put a damper on the experience. Otherwise, the hotel is a good value, in a great location & has many of the things you'd expect for an ES.
1. Check-in / Staff - great!
We are HH Silver members so enjoyed a quick check in & late check out.
2. Breakfast - plenty of choices (even for GF diets).
3. Mgrs reception - 5:30-7:30pm, snacks were OK
I've had much better at other ES, drinks & bartenders were wonderful!
4. Restaurant food choices are OK.
No kids menu made avail to us (even though kids asked them for menu & we
were looking for something appropriately sized for them). Found out...on LAST
day...that there is a kids menu but they don't have it out. Huh???
Only 1 hiccup waiting almost an hour to get nachos & a burger (9pm). We kept
asking the status & they kept saying it was coming right out. Think we hit a bad
night. Also, if you bill to the room, you won't see any description on the hotel bill.
This made it hard for us to verify the numerous purchases...they had to look at
restaurant receipts by hand. Think they need a tech upgrade here.
5. Room - barely OK, this gets 2 stars.
Our light switches did not work (only in the bathrooms!)..did let staff know but they
didn't offer to do anything about it. I didn't push the issue.
Everything was dated, old, sagging mattresses, outlets didn't function properly
(even sparked!!). But, it was as clean as it could be for an old room.
Ocean view was nice, but we didn't use it enough because we were mostly at the
beach or pool anyway. Pretty disappointed with this part of the hotel.
6. Within .5 to .75 mile walk of shops & eateries.
"Wings" was a nice beach shop & "7 Eleven" is always good for slurpees.
Sit down, casual eateries & ice cream places avail, too.
7. We loved the beach! There are numerous rock formations near the beach to
encourage fish & other wild life (GREAT for snorkeling!!!). Highly recommend
buying Cressi or TUSA snorkel gear & enjoy at this beach...some of the easiest
and most enjoyable novice snorkeling available for all ages. Umbrella/chair
rentals available. Hard to walk a long stretch of the beach as you might in Daytona
or Canaveral. But, the beach is groomed, clean & the water is super!
8. We also loved the pool/hot tub. Clean & beach towels always available.
9. My husband booked a fishing trip thru guest services...worked out great!
10. Wifi was inconsistent...had problems in our room, at the pool.
11. Lot's of kids at this hotel, so my kiddos loved having others to play with.
--end--

Room Tip: Skip the ocean view if it costs more...you can easily hang out at beach or the pool to get the same experience.

I'm not normally a reviewer, but felt compelled to share our experience after a recent stay. Our family (couple with a 2 year old) stayed here the last week of April in a Deluxe King Oceanview Suite - it was fantastic!! We were on the 5th floor, our balcony overlooked the ocean and the pool. See photos for excellent views, including seeing the sunrise over the ocean in the morning. This is a long review, but there is so much to cover! I'll preface by saying we travel extensively both for work and pleasure, so are quite discerning and have seen a range of many properties over the years.

+ Arrival & Staff: Check-in was a breeze, the lobby smells amazing and we got the usual Honors welcome bag when we arrived (with water AND Oreos!). The valet/bell staff we met immediately, Fernando, was super helpful, bringing our bags and groceries up to the room for us. He was also very accommodating with extra help for my pregnant self throughout our trip, offering entertainment/dining recommendations and even running back to the car after he already parked it to retrieve a forgotten phone.

+ Hotel common areas: The main hotel areas overall reminded me very much of the all-inclusive resorts we have stayed at in Central & South America - open air dining, fun pool atmosphere, rental equipment on the beach, friendly staff.

+ Room: Many other reviews I saw gave poor ratings for things such as dated decor and unclean rooms. I have to say: WE SAW NONE OF THAT AT ALL. Our room was lovely, had brand new carpet, was very clean, had a comfortable bed and baby's crib was already set up when we arrived! The second bathroom had a very nice shower enclosure, while we used the main bathroom's bathtub for our kiddo's bath times. Both were very clean. We wanted a beach view, so we paid for the best oceanview room; people should consider that before complaining about a view they weren't willing to pay a little more for... you pay for the cheapest basic rack rate room, you get the dumpster view - that's how all hotels operate!! Our room was cleaned by the nicest woman every afternoon around 2pm, which was perfect to accomodate baby's midday nap. The hotel also appears to be in the process of updating rooms, as we saw a few getting new flooring installed while there.

+ Pool: The pool area was fun, with plenty of seating. We did get down there between 8-9am every day to get set up after early breakfast (2 year olds don't sleep late!), so were always able to get good spots with an umbrella for shade. Pool towels were being constantly replenished; never had any issue getting the 3 fresh ones we needed. There also is a selection of community pool toys available to borrow including noodles, kid floaties, swim goggles and beach toys. We bought some when we arrived (did not know pool had already), so just donated to the collection when we left for others to enjoy!

+ Beach: Access to the beach is right across the street, easy to get to and there were never huge crowds, even on the weekend. We checked out the larger beach closer to the pier and it was just too big & hectic for our little one; preferred to stay on the smaller beach right by the hotel for playing in the sand, wading in the ocean and picking up a few shells. There was a cleaning crew out at dawn every morning in a bobcat sweeping the beach to remove seaweed/trash and level the sand, it was pretty clean every time we went.

+ Food: The restaurant is convenient for eating and drinking all day. For breakfast, I have no idea why people on other reviews complain about things being "all over the place" and having to run about to get what they want to eat. All of the b-fast food from omelette station to cereal to fresh fruit to pastries to coffee is literally feet from each other, all consolidated in one area, and the tables are also fairly close. We had no problem getting both our and toddler's food in minutes. And there are so many selections!! We ate lunch and dinner from the restaurant multiple times - all were fine. Room service was also extremely fast, we never waited more than 20-30 min! The "evening reception" main purpose is drinks, so keep that in mind (it's the same at all Embassy Suites - booze is the main focus where legal, some minimal snacks are thrown out as a nicety, not a necessity). They had Shocktop & Landshark beer available on tap as part of the reception when we were there, so it's not just the cheap stuff, either! Tommy took fantastic care of us on the pool deck, even hunting down some ice cream for our kiddo one day. Keeping a tab open to charge to the room made all transactions very easy, and the staff continually checked in throughout the day to see if we needed anything, even if we happened to be in a different spot (chairs, pool, hot tub).

+ Proximity to "town": The little Deerfield Beach downtown area, where most of the restaurants and bars are located is about a 7 block walk. It's not a bad trek, but if you have smaller kids in tow, bring a stroller. We both drove and walked it a few times to get food and souvenirs. It was a nice change from the resort bubble at the hotel, but we always felt like we were coming home when getting back to the E.S.

In summary, we had a great, laid back vacation at the Embassy Suites Deerfield Beach! I have to admit, I was a bit wary after reading some other reviews because we are fairly picky travelers, but we were delighted by the entire experience!! Highly recommend for families interested in a fun getaway - the facilities and staff were better than expected. Wish we could have stayed for much longer than we did... would have sat on that balcony listening to the ocean waves for days!

Room Tip: Pay for the Deluxe Oceanview Suite - worth every penny!!

First timer to this place with two kids, and we really liked this place. The beach is never crowded, and with hotel right in front, it allowed easy access. Breakfast is awesome, and really nice people at the Front Desk. We had a flight to catch at 9am, and they waived our overnight parking fee, and also packed our breakfast. Friendly staff, and nice service.

Hotel seems slightly outdated, the parking fee for valet is understandable, but if you choose to self park it is $23 a day. Being a long time FL resident, I feel the beach was also subpar but I know that isn’t the hotels fault
