One aspect of this property plunges it from a 5-star to a 2-star review and a "Not Recommended" rating. The room, staff, amenities, beach, and location are spectacular--everything you'd want herding three active grand kids on a summer vacation. The room with full kitchen was breathtaking and very easy to live in.
But you will spend a significant amount of time, worst was half an hour, waiting for elevators. There are only four elevators to service 22 floors of guest rooms at 35 or so rooms per floor. This is a resort so people are constantly on the move with lots of stuff and move ins/outs mean carts full of luggage. We'd regularly need to wait (a long time) for the 3rd elevator before finally getting on. At least one seems to be out of service which is a HUGE deal. Somebody made a design decision in the construction of these buildings and it was the wrong decision.
Construction on an adjacent hotel started at 7:00 am with lots of banging. That will be temporary but definitely affected late sleepers.
If you're planning on doing a lot of cooking and are driving bring your favorite frying pan. The ones provided were adequate but not non-stick. In-room washer and dryer were a huge plus but washer was really noisy.
You can still enjoy yourselves here but either be prepared to wait a long time every day or find somewhere else to go.
The rental was amazing. Clean and nice with lots of amenities and walking distance to shops and restaurants.
My family and I were very impressed with this unit! There was plenty to keep the kids busy, and no reason to really ever leave the resort as everything you need is within walking distance! Marian and Darrin were so quick to respond and very kind. We will definitely be staying here again!
