My husband and I and our teen daughters just returned from our 5 night stay at Beachers Lodge, room 214. It was absolutely beautiful and we had an amazing time. Everything was just as pictured on the website. Very clean. There were just a few things that needed to be better in order to give 5 stars. The pullout couch bed is not comfortable. I recommend bringing along some kind of padding for it. Another thing is they need a plastic step stool in the room for reaching the middle and top cupboards. My daughter is 5’7” and could barely reach the second shelf. Also, a plastic step stool would be helpful in the shower because there is no where to put your foot when you’re shaving your legs. We never saw housekeeping but that was fine with us. We like the privacy. The WiFi did not work. There was a number you could call if you had problems but we chose not to do that. The last thing was we didn’t know where to put our garbage. Mostly a family place. Everyone was very friendly even the hotel staff in the lobby. Beach rules were enforced- dogs must be leashed, no loud music, no alcohol. Pool was very warm. FYI there is a place down by the pool that you can fill up your water bottles. Water in the room was nasty. I am an extremely light sleeper and was never awakened by noise. One more thing, it was very bright in the bedroom. We ended up hanging up beach towels over the blinds. Overall, we had an amazing time. None of my complaints are major things, just stuff the owner might want to improve on. Love the kitchen and supplies. It makes things so much easier. We didn’t want to leave and would love to return.
