We rent a home in Anna Maria every year. Hands down, for my active group, this is the best location. Two blocks from hopping Bridge Street. Beach access 1/2 block away. Bay equally as close. Edgewater was the friendliest and most helpful of any management group we have booked through. Parking for six cars if that is a concern. Furnishings are adequate. Beds and linens are comfortable and not " rental scary". Kitchen is minimally stocked but certainly you can work with it. Pool is well- maintained and though small, does the trick to cool off.
Washer and dryer is great- and as anyone knows, a week at the beach keeps it humming.
Now, a few heads up before you rent-
Acoustics and insulation is terrible- every time a toilet is flushed or a chair in the living room is moved, you hear it. Like wake you up hear it.
The stairs are brutal. A given for newer beach design- but there is an elevator for heaven's sake. . Not advertised because it is not available for renters. Owners do not allow access. I have never seen this before .
Water pressure is non- existent. There is plenty of hot water , just a trickle of it.
There is a lovely water feature to the pool. It was on when we arrived- never to be seen again. Pool guy indicated owners wishes were it not be on.
I think this is definitely an investment property. Not feeling the love here,- But, Casa Playa East is worth a consideration. Big Group? There is a second side that can be rented with this one.
