We’ve had a 5 night stay at Imaj, in the 3 bedroom Kopi Villa and it’s been perfect. The views are spectacular, the staff are super friendly. It’s a couple of minutes drive down the hill to senggigi and an easy pick up point for tour operators. The call to prayer in the morning rolls through the hills and is amazing to hear though not hard to sleep through if you aren’t interested. We will definitely be coming back

Visiting in the middle of Ramadhan was interesting, so besides the constant chanting all night on loud speakers, with their culture of pigs squealing, dogs barking and roosters doing their thing, my advice is if you dont want to sleep for a week, its not much fun.
As for the accomodation, the view is magnificent, the private rooms are so big, the tv in the corner needs binoculars, which didnt work anyway, so you go onto the balcony and look at the view, once again.
Language barrier is a huge problem with the staff, although they do try really hard. But when you need clean towels, it can take 2 days.
Bathrooms are not clean and i think only the basic cleaning is done and that's only when u ask, and its still not done properly. A good dose of bleach would do wonders.
The menu is basic but food is cooked fresh.
Reliability with the office is non existent, you book a car to take you into Lombok town, and because there is only 1 car, its bad luck they end up having another pickup from somewhere, but no communication to the guests is given.
Ordering a bottle of wine took 3 days, excuses were given, the manager had the key, the manager wasn't available, the manager was in town. It seemed like the manager was never around.
Besides all of the negativity, it was a beautiful view, and if you wanted to be up in the hills and didnt want to explore, and your not going expecting much it would be the perfect spot.
For me this experience left a bad mark on visiting Lombok again

Return visit and staying in Villa 1 - Batu Layar. Although not 5 star I would highly recommend this place if you want to kick back and relax. Villa is big and plenty of room. Breakfast on the terrace is a great way to start every day and the view is to die for. The staff and Manager Three are very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Although 1.5ks up the mountain the road has now been sealed (thank goodness) and the cost of $3.50aud for a trip to Sengeggi for 6 people is very reasonable and they are only a phone call away to come back and collect you. This was our second visit and we will be returning for a 3rd.

Amazing private villa, great view, large private pool and lovely staff that spoke enough English to communicate well enough - what more could you ask for. We had our breakfast and a couple of meals here - all of which were good. They had a shuttle into Senggigi (10mins drive) which cost about AU$7 ( return I think) but we often got a cab back to the villa for less than AU$3. Senggigi has restaurants, shopping and massage places. We did a couple of the tours that the villa offered with their own vans and drivers - Harvi and Dufree who were brilliant. The tours were good, especially the snorkelling at Gili Nanggu. The manager of the Villas was good and very accommodating- nothing was a problem. This property does also have a lovely looking honeymoon Villa. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 4 nights and a fantastic private villa. We had our own pool and it was great. The manager was so friendly and accomodating. The food to our villa was fantastic. We just didn't like the pizza. The only issue was the TV upstairs did not work.
