The service was unfriendly and unprofessional.
The food was OK but very overpriced for what you get, sides are extra and prices are not on the menu. The salad bar that is included is dark and basic, the "Texas Toast" is cheap white bread in a bag. The restaurant could use a good clean. I feel that it was a waste of money, since you wait on yourself for the most part and they charge quality restaurant $ for not much.

We have been going to the mint for over 10 years and have always had a great meal and good time. If you are looking for a place where you want to change things up and let everyone cook their own food, this is the place. A casual atmosphere with great food. If you time it right in late fall take advantage of the big discounts,
Enjoy!!

Don't know what the hype is about....steak is overpriced with no sides, except for salad bar and bread. It was a little tough. You cook the steak yourself....which could be novel for some, especially with children. But I grill at home, so what's the big deal. Staff was okay. I won't go back next year.

I wondered why the local hotel did not recommend this place. I love the concept of this "Steakhouse". Choose your meat or seafood right from the butchers case and cook it yourself. My kids liked the concept as well. Along with a salad bar and ordering side dishes, this sounded like a lot of fun.

The Meat - My ribeye was well marbled and tender, but it was poorly trimmed for such a high price. My son's (teen) cut was chewy and tough. My younger (pre-teen) two could not find anything they would eat in the butchers case that was reasonably priced. The chicken looked slimy and the portion was small. The seafood had a very limited selection (It is the rocky mountains). There was really nothing in the case for kids, which is why we were excited to go.

The Service - Just average at best. The waiter returned a few times, but my one of my child actually went searching to get what they needed.

Salad Bar and Sides - The salad bar selection was average. The ingredients were very fresh and well stocked. The sides varied. The fries were very good, the mac & cheese was out of a box, and the cook you own veggies sounded fun. The plate to cook on was small not a problem, but raw veggies shrink, so what starts out as a nice size sided, ended up being a few forkful of veggies.

Price vs Value - Average. A little work on refining the concept and improvement could make this a big winner.

By the way, we never got a Mint... I think this is good for adults wanting a high-end cut of meat, but not a good value for families.
