I flew out of Pittsburgh and arrived at another Choice Hotel in Denver in which I had a reservation only to be told they cancelled it since they were overbooked and they gave rooms away on a first come first serve basis. I was stuck in a part of the country that I did not know and no other hotels in Denver had any availability. I had to start driving to find a place to stay. Everywhere I stopped there were no vacancies. I ended up in Silverthorne, CO, nearly 2 hours away from Denver. I called the Quality Inn to see if they had a room. Sam answered the phone, had a room available then proceeded to keep me on the phone giving me turn by turn directions to the hotel. I arrived at 2AM, weary, angry and so exhausted. By this time I had been awake for 23 hours. He worked his magic to give me a great room for a great price. I did not care at this point if I had a roll-away bed in a corner. I was given a king suite, with a hot tub and a fireplace. Even if it was 3AM, I filled the hot tub and relaxed for ½ hour. I slept for a few hours then had to get back on the road. If it was not for Sam I do not know what I would have done. I spoke with the clerk in the morning and she said Sam had told her all about me and they both felt bad for the way I had been treated earlier in Denver.
I did start my day with a few items from the breakfast buffet. Eggs, toast, yogurt, juice and coffee helped me continue on. If I am ever in the area again, I will not hesitate in staying at this Quality Inn. Thank you SO much!!
