Bed Bugs Bed Bugs everywhere

1.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 13 Jun 2017via mobile
Don't stay here. I got eaten alive by bed bugs over 75 bites and they infested my clothes, travel bag and car. The staff took no accountability and neither did Hotels.com
This was a horrific experience! Don't stay there it is not as it may appear on the surface a clean and safe facility... avoid at all costs!

Thank you for your review. We apologize that you had a less than desirable experience while staying with us. We partnered with our pest control company and they cleared the room in question with no pest activity. While your pictures indicate a reaction of some type, we can assure you that it was not bed bugs based on the review of the room by our pest control company. We pride ourselves with clean and safe rooms, and work hard to deliver that to all guests each and every day. Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Woodsprings is clean, reasonably priced, & safe. There are long-term guests that stay here. Read the rules (photos attached) special attention to the office hours, if you need something from the staff (towels, toilet paper, etc) you'll have to go the office when they're open. Also note, there is no turn down service.
We would defanitly stay here again, and recommend to someone else to stay.

The building looks something very appealing but don't judge it by the cover. It is not your standard room. There is absolutely no carpet in this building making you hear your echo in each corner. It reminded me when I was 25 and living in a dormitory or employee housing for Smith's grocery store. Moreover there is no lobby.

There is a large fridge in the room, small 27" tv and a saggy double bed. The room appeared to be clean but when looked closely in the corners, there was dirt everywhere.

We checked in late and went to a movie theater. After we came back, we walked out of the elevator on our floor and someone started following us in the hallway. As we entered the room my wife looked through the peephole and saw a man that turned around in front of our door. Very unsettling.

We did not feel very safe so we requested a cancellation and left. The front desk guy was very nice at the check-in and when we were leaving. He is probably why I am leaving 2 points for this place. Other than that, I would not recommend a stay here.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you were unhappy with the accommodations. We will review the housekeeping notes with our staff to ensure they are following our processes and eliminating dirt in the corners. We apologize that you did not feel safe which lead to an early check out. It is great to know that the staff was very professional and attentive to your situation. While feedback like this is tough to hear, it allows us the opportunity to improve the product and service we offer. You are correct that we do not have carpeting in the rooms, we chose a more modern plank flooring, sorry for the inconvenience this caused during your brief stay. We appreciate your feedback and do hope that you will give our brand another try in the future. Thanks for letting us know.

We have never stayed in a facility like this. We found it on line coming home from Moab, the rate was a little lower than some other places, so we booked it. On arriving, we found a very clean, comfortable room. However, on closer inspection we were perplexed. It has a full kitchen with absolutely nothing in it except 2 small ice cube trays in the freezer. Not a problem since we were there for one night on out way home. If you use the bathroom, be careful. There is a tiny counter surrounding the sink, so if we were staying and unpacking our toiletries, it would be very crowded. Also, there is no toilet seat lid, so be careful if you drop your toothbrush or comb; the toilet is situated nice and close to the sink. Also, if you sit on the toilet, hold on tight as the cheap, very light weight seat wiggles all around as you make contact. There are only bath towels and wash cloths in the room, yes, those are the only amenities other than the ice cube trays. No ice machine in the building, no coffee maker, no pot holders, and our biggest surprise--not even a box of Kleenex. They explained that if it's an extended stay, we could rent the utensils and equipment we needed, which would bring the price of the room closer to the prices of other hotels. We left the key cards in the room when we checked out, and then remembered we left an item in the room. We stopped at the front desk which was locked and unoccupied; knocked on the pull-down door at the window, no one responded. Another guest said go to the office door in the hall and knock, they'll come right out--they didn't. We were now juggling between the 2 locked entry doors (1outside, 1 to enter the halls and elevator area) since we couldn't contact anyone once we went outside. I caught the interior door as someone else left so that we weren't trapped in the entry with no way to find a human. My husband called on the house phone which rang and rang. Finally someone answered, heard our predicament and came to escort him back to the room to retrieve our item. Leaving that morning took 20 minutes. If you're ready for a rather bizarre stay, out of the ordinary, this is the place for you. Just don't expect a traditional hotel.

Room tip: Go to the Columbine Motel in Grand Junction.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you found our property to be clean. We apologize for the inconvenience of the after hours service. We do have limited office hours, however, we always have an associate available to assist on site. You are correct we currently do not stock the kitchen with dishware, however it is available for purchase for those who wish to purchase, we find most people travelling and staying long term bring those items with them for comfort. We will have our maintenance department review the loose toilet seat you mentioned. Thanks for providing us feedback to help us improve our service. We hope to see you again on a future trip. Thanks for staying with Woodspring Suites Grand Junction.
