loved the layout of this room. was very comfortable. unfortunately the room was not clean. fritos left on floor at foot of bed for three days. they could easily be seen from the doorway, houskeeping just ignored them. one day no towels or coffee was left in room. breakfast was only ok. was supposed to be given extra points for inconvenience, but didn't get them.
The first room to which we were assigned had a very unpleasant smell. The very kind Assistant General Manager Xena Cousins immediately assigned us to another room. Never checked for the odor in room one, believed her customer! The new room smelled good, but the bath had a hint of a bad odor. Ms Cousins came and cleaned it herself. What a wonderful person! She was helpful in so many other ways.
I’ve been to a handful of Holiday Inn express hotels, and this particular one in Grand Junction did not seem to be on the same par as the other ones I’ve been in. This one had ratty carpet, below average customer service, etc, probably a 2.5 star experience. But I’m in another one right now in Santa Fe and it is back on par. I just think the Grand Junction one needs to be worked over.

This hotel has a very clean interior & exterior. The staff is very accommodating and nice. This place is quiet. The two queen beds room was very clean and the pillows and beds are very comfy. The breakfast had a lot of items to choose from and was very good. I thought the price of the room was high end, but anywhere you stay in Colorado seems to be this way. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in Grand Junction.
My most favourite hotel after travelling through Utah, Colorado, Arizona the past 3 weeks. Room 321 is the best!
The light is good, natural and artificial, the room was clean and the whole hotel was bright and cheerful. Great colour scheme.
