We were traveling from Grand Jct to Denver, when our plane was diverted back to Grand Junction after circlling Denver for two hours. It was late, and everyone was tired and cranky when we returned. After much disarray at the airport, we were given vouchers to stay at this hotel. We were greeted with a warm welcome, water bottles, the manager even brought in extra staff to help get the 35+ of us settled into our rooms and even had a special menu that we could order from when she re-opened the dining room because none of us had eaten and we were all so tired and hungry.
They weren't able to accommodate all of us with rooms, as there were only 27 rooms available. Tammy (the manager) didn't send us out into the cold. She went the extra step, calling around to find us a place to stay. She secured rooms for everyone, arranged transportation, and really took care of us like we were family. She went way above and beyond, as well as her staff, to make sure no one was left to fend for themselves.
I can't say enough about how she made us feel and how caring she was to everyone. She was like a breath of fresh air, and it was certainly a joy to see that SOMEONE cared enough to take care of us, especially when the airlines just seemed to dump us all on her in the middle of the night.
