overnight stay

We spent the night here on our way back to Denver. Check in was easy, and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the am was just fine. The only bad part was the price of the room for one night! Way to much for what we got, but as the girl at the desk noted it was Friday night, just off the highway, and even though it was not ski season, people were coming to see the colors change.

Property is undergoing some renovation. Fairly easy access off I-70...(Gotta be a fan of roundabouts!) Property is clean and orderly. If a sign hadn't been up alerting us to the fact the renovation was in progress, probably would not have noticed. Lobby area was clean and neat, staff was very courteous. Room had recently been upgraded and was very nice.

Glenwood Springs is a tough hotel town. This is a good 3* hotel but with 4* rates. But we’ve stayed in many hotels here plus checked out others - and there just aren’t a lot of great choices. Everything is very expensive, way more than what they’re worth. The Glenwood Springs Lodge is most convenient & was really good at one time, but has steadily changed. We stayed in this comfort inn before it changed to a Choice property. It was better this time but definitely not worth $200+. Again, it’s a tough, expensive town for lodging. The room needed attention, but we did enjoy the balcony. Right across the parking lot is the Colorado river with benches & picnic tables. Breakfast was typical hotel fare. This hotel is also several miles from the downtown area with Pool, shoppes, activities & restaurants. On many trips we’ve driven the 20 miles to Rifle, CO & their Hampton Inn after enjoying glenwood springs pool. This works well especially when continuing to Moab the next day. Not sure we’ll stay here again.

Room tip: Ask for balcony facing the river.

Very clean room and extremely nice staff. Xavier especially was super nice the second we walked in. He went above and beyond for his guest and made it feel like he was welcoming us into his own household. Extremely helpful and kindest worker i’ve ever met at any hotel!!

This hotel was nice enough. It was comfortable and clean. There were two main issues that made me give it a lower rating. The breakfast area didn’t have enough seating. It was a decent open area, but they had two large tables with lounge style chairs. Those two tables took up most of the space and only accommodated 4 people each. It meant far too little seating for the number of guests. Also, the front desk manager was covering this hotel and the Quality Inn across the street. When we checked in and checked out there was no one there. We waited and he finally came from across the street. He was very nice and helpful when he was there. I have mixed feelings on whether I’d stay here again.
