I am usually at the Cala for lunch and love the menu and great selections of sandwiches--really enjoy the Turkey Rueben. Try the Scotch Eggs..they are great!
You get to go to the bar to order on most occasions...staff is friendly and efficient--though it is a locals hang out..anyone is welcomed with open arms.

3.5 stars, actually. Busy. People waiting for limited seating. As a bar with lots of Irish whiskey, this rates four stars--five if you came for the booze and fellowship. It's a fun place.

But I'm not too sure about the food. I had the fish and chips. Big chips. Good, too. The fish was only fair. Slightly tough. But only slightly. Not bad but could have been better. Our other dish was the shepherd's pie. It was very good. We took half of it home for later. But not the Brussels sprouts. Ugh.

Next time, and we will return, I'm trying the chicken pot pie. It looked great. And lots more on the menu, too. But it will be at lunch time, not a weekend night.

Slightly off the beaten path but my first choice for an uncrowded lunch that is consistently good.
If you're looking for a good quality pub lunch and don't feel like being squeezed in in somewhere then you can find a relaxing/ casual meal here.

Good food and cold beer. Crowded but comfortable, appetizers were great, wings and creative Reuben bites. Dinner was Guinness Beef Pies, Burgers, and a Reuben. The desert looked great, though we were too filled to try

Happened upon this place while staying for a few weeks in the immediate area. This is family run neighborhood feel with a fantastic (dog-friendly) deck with a view of Lake Dillon. Feels "old school" Irish-- my teenage boys love the Shepherd Pie. Great original pub food with flair, and a good place to get a proper pint.
