With trails and parks & nature this is a spectacular park in the heart of the city! With the zoo & other fun. Things located in the heart of the park this is a great stop for exploration. Lots of parking, but they fill up quickly!

This is one of Denver's older parks. It is off of 18th between York and Colorado Blvd. You can enter the park a few ways, perhaps the easiest is at the Museum of Natural History off of 20th and Colorado Blvd.

You are looking for the lake which has the fountain in it which affords you the very famous shot to the west of downtown with the lake and fountain in the foreground of the photo. Probably the most popular shot of Denver taken ever.

There is a golf course too near by and the zoo is also just to the north of the main park. Lots of people around enjoying the park and plenty of photo ops there too.

Park is clean and safe and worth seeing during any Denver visit.

We went for a walk with our sons two dogs mainly around the lake. This park is very large and well kept. People were very friendly and enjoying the nice fall temps. If I lived in Denver, I would come here every day for a walk.

Need some Sunday-Funday ideas that don't include mimosas...? ( Disclaiiimer: I love mimosas ...no judgements here ). Head to your nearest farmers market on bike, rrrollerblades, or those new scooter thangs I see all around town! The City Park Farmer's Market on Sundays (9am-1pm) are a beautiful way to do both city and farmy-fresh livin' , indulge in some lemon-mint gelato and kick back with some killer live music . @metro_denver_farmers_market
.
If you can stick around the area for a few more hours( City Park/Zoo/Nature and Science Museum are all across the streett to keep ya busy ), than you can stay for Jazz in the Park around 6pm! Both the Farmer's Markets and Jazz in the Park are freee so no excuses . Enjoy!
