This was my first time in the bay area. When i told a friend where i was staying she told me that this was what California used to look like. I loved my time here. Watching condors soar on the thermals. Watching the fishing boats seine on the strait. There are no words to describe the view. Sitting here now i have an unobstructed view across the Strait of Carquinez to the mountains about 50 miles in the distance. The living room has wrap around windows facing all of this. So peaceful and beautiful. I will be back.
The road is narrow and steep but so well worth it. Close to everything but you feel miles away.

So happy your stay was a success! Please do come back in the summer or fall . You can really enjoy the deck much more then. Glad you had a few days of clear weather and sun during this very rainy winter.

“Don't Pass on This!”

Located in a quaint village east of San Francisco, this is the perfect get away for urbanites, You immediately make yourself at home in this warm and serene setting. The bedrooms are large and welcoming with wall-to-wall, mirrored closets with cedar shelving/seating and large windows overlooking the hillside garden, The bathroom is large enough to include a vanity, dresser, and side chair. The whole house is very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped (minus perhaps a blender), has stainless steel appliances, and a table. There is a separate laundry room. The parlor is also large with a desk, plenty of seating and a TV. The crown jewel is the sun room that is essentially a family/living room. The hillside house has a 180 degree unobstructed view of the countryside - including spectacular morning and evening lightshows that is Benicia reflecting on the Carniquez Strait that separates them. Summer travelers can also enjoy the fresh air on the wooden deck, grill dinner, and then retreat to the sunroom to sup and enjoy the evening light show with that delightful Russian River Pinot you discovered the day's your wine tour.

Delighted at your enjoyument. Also a good thought that a simple blender may serve guests better than the more complicated full fledged Cuisinart provided.
Please pass this way again some day.and Thanks again for taking time to wrote your review

“Spectacular- you won't regret it”

We booked this rental while visiting Vallejo to attend a high school graduation. The home is exactly as pictured. So picturesque and serene. The home was comfortable with all the conveniences if home. We arrived at night and woke to the most spectacular ever. Our host Victoria was gracious and kind. Family from the area came to visit us there and was also amazed. The town of Crocketvis just as seems. My favorite was the Honey Cafe that served the best French roast coffee. pepper bacon and honey cake. Would love to return.

“Picturesque and timeless”
Reviewed 16 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Staying at this cottage in Port Costa seemed like stepping back into a time when things moved at a slower, quieter pace. Though only a short distance from San Francisco it seemed a world away. The living room has walls of windows that overlook a sleepy port..drinking coffee while watching tugboats glide along was very whimsical. The back gardens and view of rolling hills offered a tranquil repose. Victoria and Sonny have kept this place immaculate and very cozy with interesting decor..and so very comfortable. It is exactly like the photos but I thought it was actually roomier than depicted. The town doesn't offer much but going into the surrounding areas is very easy...SF, Muir Woods, Napa a drive or a very scenic ferry ride. I would definitive stay there again!

“Such a charming gem”
Reviewed 21 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This rental was not only charming but was a really nice break from busy city life. It's so private and the view was beautiful. The owners Victoria and Sonny were very kind and accomodating. There was everything one would need and lots of space to spread out. Thank you!
