Disappointing Experience at the Farmhouse
I booked the Farmhouse hoping for a charming retreat, but my stay was anything but. Our room was located directly behind the lobby, facing a busy street with a bus stop bench right outside our window, which was less than ideal for privacy and relaxation.
Upon entering the room, we were immediately confronted with mosquitoes and a fly. Given the room’s small size, this made our first half hour a battle against bugs rather than a comforting welcome.
The situation worsened when, after receiving a proactive text from the hotel asking about our comfort, I replied expressing my disappointment—only to receive no response. This lack of follow-up added to our frustration.
Further, a $26 resort fee charged at checkout felt unjustified, as the hotel resembled a renovated motel rather than a resort, with no extra amenities to speak of.
After addressing these issues via email, I was told that the fee was mentioned by the third-party booking site, which I had not noticed. This lack of transparency and communication has left a poor impression.
As a frequent visitor to Paso, I believe there are many superior accommodation options available. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the Farmhouse.
