We pre booked for dinner as most places in cannery row looked busy during the day. However when we arrived main dining area not that full.
Unfortunately half the place was booked out for a noisy private function which spoilt the place and possibly explained why it didn't have many other diners. The party was only separated by modest pin boards so noise spilt over. If we had other dinner options we probably would have left, but we'd not have got in anywhere at such short notice.
This place has a great view looking out to sea and is the best feature, and we knew the prices before we sat down. However the food didn't quite match up. Although food was decent, it just missed something for us. Service was a little odd but still pleasant enough.
For starters we had prawns and calimari. Both fresh and tasty.
For mains I had special seafood pasta which was huge, lots of fish, pasta was a little weak and overall dish was a bit claggy.
Most of the places in this part of town are pricey due to location, so as long as you know that maybe just enjoy the setting and view. We certainly did.
