Stayed at the Highland Dell June ‘18. While it is in Sonoma County it’s over an hour from Sonoma, the city, where most of the wine tastings are.
Place is very quaint and quiet. We arrived late at night and the key to our room with a welcome letter was waiting for us (as a side note we didn’t see anyone at the front desk the entire stay, but we were in and out). Welcome letter has owners contact info if needed. Walked up to our room, #211 , with a balcony overlooking the Russian River. If you’re going to stay here, you should have a balcony, it makes a difference.
The rooms are small, super small, but clean and cute. The TV remote didn’t work, but the WiFi did, which was great for Netflix :)
There is a bar and restaurant on-site, but it wasn’t open at all while we were there.
They serve breakfast mornings 8:00-10:00, which was really good. Cereals, fruit, yogurt, eggs, bacon, COFFFFFEEEEEE, and the most delicious homemade pastries (hazelnut chocolate twists, wowwwww). Lynette, chef, hostess, and all around awesome lady was great during breakfast. There is nothing going on at night here so plan to retire early and wake up at sunrise over the river. Great place, quiet and relaxing. Will definitely be back. More
