I just needed to spend one night after flying in from overseas. I was traveling with a cat and needed a place to stay that was pet friendly. Found the La Quinta. And indeed, it is pet friendly--there wasnt any extra charge for my cat (some "pet friendly" hotels allow pets, but than charge ridiculously high fees). Finding the hotel was a little problematic. The airport shuttle dropped me off at Holiday Inn--it was later i learned that La Quinta shares a shuttle with the nearby Holiday Inn. I asked the driver where the La Quinta was--he said behind the Holiday Inn. I walked around behind and didnt see any La Quinta signs. Finally i found a parking garage and asked someone if the lobby sign in there was for the La Quinta and was told yes. So i finally found the check in area. Had to wait a while to check in, other people kept cutting in front of me and going to one of the receptionists. After finally checking in though, i was directed to my room and though a little small, was very nice. The breakfast buffet the next morning was great too--though it did get a little crowded in the dining room. Workers kept the place clean between diners by clearing tables of dirty dishes often. After checking out the hotel staff allowed me to hang out in the lobby area for a couple hours until i left for the airport to catch a domestic flight. All in all it was a great stay--almost a five star, i took one off for the difficulty in finding the place and the wait to check in. But staff was pleasant , breakfast was good and i appreciated being able to stay with my cat for no extra charge. Ill check into La Quinta more often in the future, especially when traveling with a pet. Thanks for the nice stay.

working on the hotel upgrade was not a distraction as we were out during the day and it was the weekend, the breakfast area was small for such a large hotel, however it was well organized and lots of options

A lot of remodeling going on, pool was not available, but offered option of nearby hotel. Room was very good, hot breakfast and awesome service. Room refresh, lacked leaving toiletries, had to call to bring.

In my opinion this was way below a two star place.
Not clean, there were no clean dishes at breakfast. Rooms were not being cleaned. I had to ask over and over for clean towels. Very unprofessional and crude manager. Would not stay there again!

Room Tip: Change management.

We've enjoyed this hotel many times now and will continue to stay here even when we're not flying in or out of LAX. The front desk is organized and the shuttle from LAX works perfect! Now I'm just typing to get 200 characters....ok made it!
