It’s an airport hotel. Don’t expect much going in and you’ll be fine.
Room was clean but very dated and dark.
Bathroom was incredibly dark. The shower faucet was falling apart and the shower head needs decalcification.
Bed frame was squeaky as hell.
Mattress was very uncomfortable.
Stayed 2 nights here. Room was very big and clean, but perhaps a bit dated. The staff were very nice. A friend came to pick us up and was able to park for free in the parking lot, which was nice. Surprisingly there was no mini fridge to keep leftover food from eating out.
The hotel is in a convenient location, located close to LAX and many restaurants. The price is reasonable since we book it through hotwire. Unfortunately, parking is quite expensive ($40/night). Furthermore, the parking space is minimal since guests have to share it with overnight parking for people to fly through LAX and party guests. When we stay (around five nights), at least there are three wedding parties. Creating chaos in the lift and make it difficult to find parking space. Another note is that marijuana smells in the parking garage.
For a Hilton located anywhere but especially near a major airport, this was a big step back. I’m sure Hilton is tracking this, but delays on many much needed upgrades and renovation projects will crush them amongst the competitors.
The rooms are very dated, smelled like cigarettes.
Everywhere - the elevator, the halls, the bedroom, bathroom - even towels carried a stench of cigarettes. Horrible! I’ve had better experiences with Choice Hotels than this. And they’re charging standard prices so the value for your dollar is extremely low.
Still comfortable bed and pillows, friendly staff, but honestly, that’s where the niceties end for me on this one.
The hotel definitely feels a bit outdated. A little blast from the past. Ready for a refresh. My room also felt dated. But it was clean, which is the most important thing. The bed was also very comfortable. It was fun to look out the window and watch the planes take off. Staff were all friendly. Check in took much longer than average. I didn't try any of the food/beverage options in the hotel. The shuttle driver to the airport the next morning was really friendly.
Overall, I'd stay again if I had an early flight out of LAX and the price is right. I just hope they will do a refresh or larger renovation soon.
