Fantastic, iconic building often used in movies. Great glass elevators, lovely rooms, delicious food, decent pool, cocktails, shops, spa, restaurants, and even a revolving lounge and restaurant on the 35th floor. Great city views! Very attentive staff.

I came this weekend for a concert and stayed here because it was close to the venue. Couldn’t wait to check out. I will not be back. Only giving two stars for the views and the lobby. Not a comparable Marriott Bonvoy property, as I am an Elite member.

Pros: nice lobby and outside design, starburcks/bar staff (brett, bartender), wonderful views, Bonavista Revolving Lounge
Cons: very outdated rooms, stale musty smell, old carpet and bedding, wi-fi does not work at all and no option to pay for enhanced wi-fi, no smart TV, food in Bonavista lounge served cold and overpriced

The hotel old, sort of outdated and seems on its way downhill.....the only 2 positive things were the views from the room and the breakfast. ....
the staff at the reception were surly and almost incapable of even a pretense of a smile or courtesy or friendliness..... it was like they were doing you a favour by even looking at you or speaking.... especially Sakura..... but all were the same....the manager Cassam? was not efficient or friendly..... didnt know where events or rooms were and seemed incapable of finding out.
the many services or restaurants or shops were shuttered and altogether it seemed rundown with old crummy carpewts in the hallways/corridors....
the servers at breakfast ran around, rather bad-tempered or overworked/underpaid/disgruntled....everything in this hotel declared.....RUNDOWN, Poor management.... it desperately needs new management and new staff with proper training

Room tip: wouldnt jump to stay here again

The hotel is very good, clean, new, modern. I just think it's bad that an apartment like that doesn't have a minibar! It would have been more comfortable and more economical if we could have bought our water in a supermarket. Other than that, everything was perfect. High price, but it is Los Angeles after all.

Room tip: Well located with a restaurant nearby, a small shopping mall with great stores; Figueroa Street is great.

I hosted a meeting here in December 2023. They took a month to get me my receipt back, you can’t get a hold of anyone here, and when you do you find that the charge an insane amount of fees. Here’s an example 67 per person for lunch sandwiches with a fee of $195 bc it’s less than 59 people, a fee of 25%, taxes, and another $150 fee. Do not host a meeting here. This has been the worst Westin experience I have ever had. Zero organized and honest

I spent four days with my wife in this 4-star hotel in downtown Los Angeles for Christmas. Unfortunately, we found a 3 inches long cockroach in the bathroom on the second night we stayed. We called the front desk immediately, but it took them over 20 minutes to get to our room. The staff took only few seconds to look into the bathroom but could not find any, so we showed him the pictures. Then he said he needed to talk to his manager. Another 20 minutes later, he came back and told us to move to another room in a lower floor. I told him I would like to talk to his manager because it made our stay unpleasant and very distressing. In addition, there was a health issue and concern which we stayed in the room for more than 24 hours. The manager ignored us and did not contact us. I asked the front desk the day we checked out which I would like to talk to their manager. Again, no response from the manager.

I have Titanium/Ambassador elite status for the past 7 years and have never seen a cockroach in any of the Marriott hotels. The attitude of the management is unacceptable to me. I would strongly suggest to STAY AWAY from this hotel at all costs.
