Holiday inns and single room in a house Airbnb is my usual jam, but I’m starting to have an okay amount of money to not feel the pain of splurging every now and then. With the help of some credit card points, I decided to book here as a nice little treat myself.

The location is hard to beat if you need to be around certain DTLA venues. I was mainly in the room as a staycation type of travel since I needed to do some work and generally kick back after 2 pretty work intensive months

Maybe this is still not the price point which I should have high expectations? The biggest appeal to me was a nicer bathroom and a pretty great king sized bed, but after that I didn’t feel it was wildly different than cheaper hotels I stayed in growing up. I was hoping for at least a smart tv that could link to Netflix, but no dice.

Total hidden gem and amazing staff. Props to Fatima especially who went above and beyond to help my kids and I out (and to a single mom, that is huge). Have always wanted to check out the Fig based on its history. I am a Hyatt loyalist and this exceeded expectations. Great location in DTLA, and easy drive/Lyft to Universal! Pool was great- the best to hop in after a long day at the theme parks.

Had dinner at Deme, such a great meal! Cocktails and food was delicious, the staff was incredibly attentive, Amanda our server was very kind and knowledgeable. Even the valet team was very hospitable, Amerika, Johnathan, and John were quick and courteous from beginning to the end. It was a perfect night!
