The room smelled old, like a wet dog. I tried to get rid of the smell and was charged a $500 smoking fee. I attempted to get the fee removed by explaining my concerns to the Director of Front Office, Trevor Meek. He apologized for the condition of the room but stated that there was no way to remove the $500 fee. Anyone who has worked in the hospitality industry knows that this isn’t true.
Furthermore, there were stains on the bedding, our towels were tattered, the bed frame was unsightly, and we were woken up at 7 a.m. every morning because of protests from former employees of the hotel.
This property appears to be something it’s not when you take a closer look, and the way management handled my concerns seemed very copy/paste.
I would avoid booking here if possible.
