Stayed for 3 nights. 2 adults, 2 teens. Good area in convenient location, we had a car so didn't explore public transport options.
Pros: great area, handy to lots of attractions, tastefully decorated compact 2brm house, vintage 50's style, air conditioning. 2 bathrooms (but only 1 toilet). nice linen and towels, wifi. Off road parking (pretty narrow but do-able).
Cons: While we would definitely stay again there are a few things that could be easily improved to make this place a whole lot better. Main bed - queen size but needs update, had to put pillows under mattress to prevent roll together. No kettle; had to boil water on stove in a pot. Main gas tap had to be off when not in use as strong smell of gas otherwise. Didn't cook. No plug for kitchen sink that we could figure out. There was a drip coffee machine, it would be a nice touch for the first brew to be provided.
Besides toilet paper, some laundry detergent, s&p there are virtually no supplies provided.
Door handle in bathroom keeps falling off.
Zero instructions for house or information about local area. When travelling it makes all the difference to have local tips; (e.g. Shaky Alibi on Beverley has exceptional Liege waffles). Simple info about how stuff works is helpful, what to do with rubbish, recycling etc.
House has an odd smell about it - a bit sickly when you fist enter, not sure what it was but got used to it.
This was a perfect location for us as was booking for our visiting family and it's just up the block to us. I never noticed / looked at this place before but I came across it on TripAdvisor and was totally amazed.
The place was spacious, clean, sheets, towels, WIFI all as advertised. There's one room with a double bed (Queen) plus it's own shower, TV and a door leading out to the back garden. The other room has 2 twins. there's no bathroom in that room but the main bathroom is next door. it does not have a closet in there but cubby hole drawers. For a closet to hang clothes there's one in the corridor where the ironing board and stocks are.
Has oven (may not be working), fridge/freezer, micro, coffee machine .... and a small breakfast room in the kitchen. Besides the living room area with large Tv and couch, there's the dining room area with a large table.
Table and chairs to enjoy outside in the back garden on concrete and table on porch in front of house - privacy given with tall plants in front.
Was very satisfied with this accommodation.
This is a nice duplex in the middle of a good neighborhood. it was just what we needed.
There was an issue that the owner Eleni , fixed the first night we were there. She was very responsive.
The front room furnace didn't work but 2 space heaters were provided.
Would definitely stay again.
