This property, by definition is convenient. It is as close to the village as you can get. Easy walk to the village. The accommodations were very nice, wireless internet, cable TV, nicely equipped kitchen, beautiful patio, comfortable and clean patio furniture and a large, comfortable sectional couch.
The master bedroom bed was too soft for our liking, but with 6 other beds to choose from, that wasn't an issue. I might add that all of the other 6 beds were bunk beds, but were very large fro bunk beds (seemed like queen size to me). My wife and I slept together on the lower bunk without a problem.
Since it is so close to Village, it was quite noisy at night, so we had to close our windows. There is no air conditioning, but they provided fans. The night temperature was still cool enough, that even without air conditioning and the windows closed, we were comfortable with just the fan on.
The "single parking space" they say is available below the cabin is really small and narrow. Our Tahoe did not fit in it. There is nice parking at the house level, but you have to go down a narrow, unpaved road for about 200 feet to get there. this road is not plowed in the winter and I think it would be too steep to make it with just a two wheel drive.
Overall, we had a fabulous time and have already booked a second getaway for Thanksgiving week this year.

!The Village Chalet was the perfect place for our group of 8 girls looking to escape the city and celebrate our 30th birthdays. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patio and proximity to the Village. We are all very close and enjoyed the "cozy" atmosphere of the Chalet. However, if you were a couple of families or larger men it may be a tight squeeze. All of the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was perfect (just missing a wine opener which we left for the next guest!). The owners were wonderful to work with and very prompt at answering any questions. Can't wait to return :)
All in all, we had a very good experience. The cottage is right at the entrance to the Village and you can walk to the shops and the lake. The kitchen is nice and well equipped, the living room with flat-screen TV and wood-burning fireplace (though we did not use it) is very comfortable. The deck is large but private and gives a good view of the street and shops below. The only reasons that I did not give it a 5-Star are: though technically it can house up to 10 people, it is a little small. Except for the master bedroom, the other two bedrooms all have bunker beds. It would be OK for kids, but it won't be very comfortable for adults. Also, the bed in the master bedroom is way too soft for my (and my girlfriend's) weary back, but that I understand for a personal preference. Nevertheless, it is an ideal vacation rental for a couple or a small family with young kids.
