The cottage was very clean and well-appointed. It was certainly a roomie enough for a few more people. There was lots of natural light. The hot tub is private and hot and worked really well.
It was an incredibly quiet neighborhood. The half-mile to the ocean was more difficult than it sounds it is over lots of sand but it's really beautiful.
I would be happy to come back to this Cottage and recommend it to anyone wanting a roomie quiet place to spend time. It is quite a ways out of Fort Bragg.
First, the nuts and bolts. This is a quirky house - if, like us, you are an extended family, some of you will end up traversing the bedroom of some others of you to go to bed and to go to the bathroom. The sun room, which is the bedroom off of the bedroom, is quite lovely. The instructions to use the futon included putting king sized sheets on it - but there were only queen sized sheets (lots of them mind you) available. And the ants - tiny, but annoying - cheerfully marched under the threshold of the front door every minute of the 4th-8th day we were there. I phoned about this and was told that someone would be around to do something about it, but that someone never showed up.
Now, past the nuts and bolts. This is an absolutely lovely part of the Northern coast of California. The sand dunes are spectacular. We walked them every night down to the beach. A good work out and something we'll never forget. Our grand daughters were in heaven. And they absolutely loved the hot tub.
So, complicated. If you are into unconventional living arrangements for a group (we were 6 - 4 adults and 2 young children), then this will suit you well. We adjusted easily. The kitchen is fine, the bathroom/bath-shower is fine, and the laundry worked a treat.
