The house is a beautiful 1920s building with fabulous interior reflecting it's bygone great age. The billiard table is amazing. Free WiFi. Rooms are warm and spacious. We slept wonderfully.

Fabulous hosts provide a warm welcome with a place to relax and unwind after a day in this lovely area. Breakfast is petfect every morning including to meet dietary needs. Margo even gave our 8 year old a special iced easter biscuit on arrival.

Cannot recommend Corbett house highly enough!

Traditional charm with full modern amenities - a fantastic old house with oversized pool table and library, orchard, etc. along with secluded pool, luxury bathrooms, etc. A great way to start or end a trip to the Coromandel! One of those places you would come back to NZ just to stay at again.

My husband and I shared our special one year anniversary here with the inlaws at this grand home. This is a truly beautiful character home with wonderful hosts, Margo and Mark. Nothing was a problem and we had everything we needed at our fingertips. The lovely homebaked shortbread and homegrown plums on arrival were a nice touch, as was the chocolate in the room :o) The pool was amazing on the hot sunny day.
I highly recommend staying and enjoying this amazing home and gardens. They are both spectacular and afford some beautiful photo ops.
Although staying in the hosts home, you are given the space to enjoy the surroundings at your own leisure and space.

Such a nice alternative to the average options available. A beautiful and loved Arts and Crafts building where every imaginable need is catered to.
Margot is a warm and attentive host where nothing is too much trouble.
A luxurious stay in a serene location, it was like staying in a Norman Rockwell painting.

Room tip: All the rooms look lovely, but the bedroom with ensuite and balcony was fabulous.

Without any forward bookings for accommodation last week when travelling through from Tauranga to Auckland, my wife and I arrived in Paeroa 10 minutes after the information centre had closed, so had to jump on-line to search for accommodation. Corbett House came up in our search, so I called and spoke to Margot, who said she would welcome us to stay the night. The home is amazing, nearly 100 years old, solid rimu floors, high ceilings, plenty of rooms, truly beautiful. Margot was a great host, breakfast was lovely, with her home made jams. Hikutaia is only a small country town, actually, only a few houses, school and pub, but a good stopping off point (and the staff and locals at the Tavern 200m away, where we had dinner, were really friendly.

Room tip: Rooms on the road side can be a little noisy at night, but have a great sunny balcony with farmland views.
