Owner description: The downtown Texarkana Post Office sits on the state line of Texarkana and Arkansas. The Post Office is so unique that it has been noted to be the 2nd most photographed Post Office in the United States!

This is a very cool building. He sits right on the line of Texas and Arkansas. Half of the building is actually in Texas, while half of it is in Arkansas. On the back of the building there is actually a sign you could stand in front of, that says be two places at once.

Thank Tasbille

One foot in each state. Great photo op. We went in and it's a beautiful historic building. Across the street is a huge monument. Really a worth stopping.

We stopped here on our way from
Texas to Memphis. A must since there isn’t much to see on road. Great for pictures with the family. So stop by if you’re in Texarkana. I also made Siri on my iPhone tell me my location from side of each line and she did! TEXAS on one side and Arkansas on the other.

A must visit if you are a tourist in Texarkana. Federal court house straddles the State Lines of Texas and Arkansas. Photographer’s island provides the unique experience to have your photo taken in two states at one time

The Post Office and Federal Court House is the only building to straddle a U.S. State Line with Texas to the east and Arkansas to the west. The line and state maps outside provide a perfect photo opportunity for visitors to stand with one foot in both states at the same time. In 1892 the original two states post offices combined, the original buildings on the site were demolished in 1930 and the existing building, notably made by combining Texas pink granite and Arkansas limestone, became a historic landmark in 1970. It is worth a visit for what it represents and in addition to straddling the outside line, well worth seeing its beautiful ceiling and floor interior.
