Everything we needed was right here in this motel. The location was perfect, motel was clean, and everything in perfect working order. It was easy to check in and out, and the location was convenient to all the attractions and activities we had planned. We would definitely stay here again.
We loved our stay at this motel! It was so clean, comfortable and cozy! We couldn't fault our stay here and would definitely recommend staying at this property and would look forward to staying here again!
We had a two bedroom unit and it was not only very noisy from the road traffic it was also missing a lot of equipment. Such as no fire extinguisher (bracket was there), no smoke alarm (mounting was on roof but no alarm), no phone (wall connection and cable was there), Missing soap holder in shower (brackets were there). In our room none of the lights worked until I went to the office and got 3 globes.
After 3 weeks travelling the North Island in a variety of accomodations this would have to be at or near the bottom and definetly NOT worth the money it cost.
This extremely expensive motel did not deliver in service commensurate to their fees. The unit was clean enough but the grounds resembled a tip which makes one wonder about the standards behind the scenes. No soap was in the unit but turned up after repeated requests while a request for some milk was rejected as they had run out! How can a motel working on a 90% plus occupancy run out of milk? Giving us two bottles the following morning did nothing to alleviate being without the night prior. The oven had not been cleaned and contained no baking tray on which to heat our pizzas. We cannot recommend them as being value for money.
Our initial room was not what we booked and would have to use a sofa bed to fit in, which then would block the only entry/exit. Discussed with the staff who graciously upgraded our room for free, BUT....Would not let us stay without first paying a $100 'bond', the place was dirty. Stains on the bedding, toilet seat broken, no toilet roll holder, oven had not been cleaned and smelt bad, dial on oven missing. Decor was old and in desperate need of either a good clean or replacing. And this room was apparently worth $260 a night. At most id pay $135. We will never stay here again nor recommend it.
