A wonderful half term spent at Fforest. Apparently it was busy but it never appeared so. We stayed in a Dome which was wonderful, very clean and tidy and the facilities are top class as always. This is glamping in true style, such a friendly environment and lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend and will certainly stay again!

I’m inclined to keep this spot a secret in some ways :) But, if you like communing with nature in an off beat location, it’s wonderful. Getting there is tricky so be aware. They have quite a variety of accommodations, so best to just call and see what is open during the season you’re going and make arrangements directly. They are super helpful and have a wonderful vision for helping their corner of Wales.

What can I say but wow! The team on the phones were excellent and the Manorafon site was beautiful. The dome was the best experience and it's perfectly set in its location. Will definitely be back in summer months to further explore and enjoy

We stayed here Monday to Friday august bank holiday, first the welcome was excellent, we were made to feel at home immediately, we stayed in a dome and all I can say is wow! We thought it was beautiful, charming , comfortable , simply superb. Staff that we encountered were all excellent very helpful and friendly, we wanted to do the whole cooking in the woods thing so didn't do the communal breakfast , but what we saw standards seemed very high. The pub on site opened at six and was simply stunning very comfortable with an excellent selection of local beer and cider. Sat outside with some wonderful views , superb! So why only three stars? There are two reasons and really has nothing to do with the place, but the people who use it, our family love children and dogs but we also as responsible parents and responsible dog owners believe that both need to be looked after, we had several incidents of dogs being allowed to run free and foul outside of our accommodation (not pleasant but to be fair after reporting to staff it was cleaned up, but I never get why people don't look after dogs properly) A dog was chained up all day for at least two days of our stay with the poor fella howling and crying all day until it's owners came back. As for the children we have nothing against children playing and exploring but come 7pm it was like lord of the flies with gangs of children some very young and very small running amok in near darkness, running around tents and domes taking away people's privacy, I think a few site rules would prevent this and improve everyone's experience because this place definitely deserves 5 stars.

We stayed in one of the domes for a short 'honeymoon' straight after our wedding. We arrived still elated and in a bubble but can't help but feel a little deflated by Fforest. Upon the check in we were greeted and completed our paperwork, the communal areas looked lovely, albeit a little quiet for a busy check in time, in the summer holidays. Our first impression of the dome was that it was extremely hot and smelly, even dirty. We got ourselves settled in though and actually really enjoyed the set up of the accommodation. Our issue with Fforest was with the overall feel of the place, all of the staff we encountered appeared to be unhappy and unmotivated, the same was apparent of the staff at the pizza tipi in Cardigan, guessing it it the same teams. We did have a lovely conversation however with a lovely Irish lady working here, we didn't get her name, she recommended some great places to eat, some of which we tried and were really impressed with. We went to the little pub one evening to find a child behind the bar, he told us the staff would be back in a minute, after a 20 minute wait and no sign of anyone we gave up and went back to our dome.
The website for fforest and the pre-visit emails, social media etc are all fantastic and made us so excited for our visit but we couldn't help but feel disappointed in the approach from staff, and the lack of information when we arrived. It would be fantastic if there was some information on the walks in the area, things to do etc in the domes for guests. We attempted following a walk out of camp only to find that 45 minutes in the path was closed and we had to turn back. I have found since being home that all of this guest information is on the website, but as there is no wi-fi I couldn't access this whilst I was there.
Maybe I am just disappointed and was expecting more as a honeymoon, but I can't help think that the website and advertising of this place is better than it actually is.
